We are seeking a full-time Laundry Aide to join our team and support the daily laundry operations of our 80-bed, five-star facility.  This role plays an important part in ensuring our Sisters have clean, comfortable, and well-maintained clothing and linens.

Requirements
  •  Assist with daily laundry operations, including washing, drying, ironing, folding, mending, and distributing linens and garments.
  • Ensure an adequate and consistent supply of clean linens and garments to meet the needs of the Sisters and the facility.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laundry area in accordance with infection control and safety standards.
  • Properly handle, store, and mix cleaning agents and disinfectants according to established procedures.
  • Monitor inventory levels of linens and laundry supplies and report needs to the Director of Laundry Services.
  • Assist with basic equipment care and cleaning and promptly report maintenance concerns.
  • Accurately follow departmental procedures and assist with light recordkeeping as directed.
  • Mend or repair garments and linens as needed.
  • Provide prompt, courteous service and respond to Sisters' laundry-related requests or concerns with kindness and respect.
  • Assist with training new staff as requested.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to support the overall needs of the Health Center.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support smooth facility operations.

Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Familiarity with commercial laundry equipment, processes, and best practices is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized.
  • Ability to work efficiently, manage time well, and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to teamwork and service.
  • The ability to work weekends and holidays as needed, or on a rotational basis.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and treat all Sisters with dignity and respect.
