Field Service Helper / Floater

We're looking for a dependable Field Service Helper / Floater to support our service technicians and get equipment where it needs to go. You'll spend much of your day on the road, towing trailers loaded with machines and equipment to customer locations, then helping unload, set up, and assist the technician on site. If you're comfortable behind the wheel with a trailer and take pride in safe and careful work, this is a great fit.

Responsibilities

• Safely tow trailers (16ft Enclosed Cargo Trailer) from our warehouse to the install location.

• Load, secure, and unload equipment using a furniture dolly.

• Deliver and pick up equipment on schedule, and confirm drop-off locations with customers or site contacts

• Back up and maneuver trailers in tight spaces, including parking lots, alleyways and local streets. 

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer (hitch, safety chains, lights, brakes, tires, and tie-downs)

• Assist technicians with installations including moving the machines, preparing the work area, and cleanup.

• Keep tools, parts, and the service vehicle organized and stocked

• Complete delivery paperwork and equipment condition notes accurately

• Follow all safety policies, including PPE use and DOT regulations

• Representing the company professionally with customers on site

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (MVR check required)

• Proven experience towing trailers, including hitching, backing, and securing loads

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly and up to [75] lbs with assistance

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team

• Basic hand tool knowledge and mechanical aptitude

• Must be at least 21years old (insurance requirement)

• Preferred Qualifications

• CDL or DOT medical card (Class [A/B], if applicable)

• Forklift experience

• Prior field service, delivery, or construction experience

• Familiarity with GPS and route-planning apps

• Physical Demands & Working Conditions

• Extended periods of driving, standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing

• Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling in heat, cold, rain, and dust

• Occasional travel, overnight stays, or on-call hours as needed
