About the Role
Momentous Concepts is a Central Texas hospitality group with restaurant, music venue, retail, real estate, and community operations throughout the New Braunfels, Gruene, and San Antonio areas.
We are seeking an HR Coordinator to support the day-to-day work of our Human Resources department. This is an entry-level role for someone who is early in their HR career, enjoys detailed administrative work, and wants to learn how HR operates from the inside.
Most entry-level HR jobs put you in one lane. This one doesn't. The HR Coordinator will support recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, employee records, employee relations, and compliance across our properties. You'll work directly alongside our Senior HR Business Partner and closely with General Managers, Operations, Payroll, and other departments.
This is a hands-on, heavily administrative role, and that's where the opportunity lies. You'll learn HR by running the processes that keep it moving, then build on that through special projects and exposure to higher-level work.
This position is based out of our home office in New Braunfels, Texas. This is an on-site position and is not a remote role.
What You'll Do:
Recruiting and onboarding
- Manage job postings and our Indeed account, including sponsored postings
- Support managers with recruiting questions, candidate communication, and interview scheduling
- Help source and screen candidates for management, maintenance, and other key positions
- Prepare offer letters, run background checks, and coordinate pre-employment requirements
- Own new-hire onboarding in Paylocity, including reviewing documentation for accuracy
- Serve as backup for I-9 and E-Verify
Benefits administration
- Manage the administrative side of Employee Navigator, including enrollments, eligibility, and status changes
- Send benefit communications, reminders, and deadlines
- Reconcile carrier invoices against enrollments and payroll deductions, and resolve discrepancies
Employee records and HR administration
- Process promotions, transfers, pay changes, and terminations
- Keep employee data accurate across HR systems through routine audits
- Maintain confidential personnel records and corrective action documentation
- Assist with HR reporting on turnover, headcount, attendance, and other workforce metrics
Employee relations and compliance
- Support workplace investigations by gathering documentation, scheduling meetings, and maintaining files
- Handle Texas Workforce Commission notices and documentation
- Monitor employee feedback and escalate concerns when appropriate
- Assist with handbook, policy, and HR form updates
Manager and department support
- Be the first stop for managers navigating HR systems and processes
- Support audits, compliance projects, HR communications, and special projects
What You'll Gain
- Exposure to the full scope of HR, not just one function
- Direct mentorship from a senior HR leader
- Hands-on experience with Paylocity, Employee Navigator, and Indeed
- Experience with benefits reconciliation, investigations, and compliance, which coordinators rarely get this early
- Special projects that grow with you as you build skills
What We're Looking For
- A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or hands-on exposure to an HR department through a job, internship, or administrative role that supported HR
- An interest in building a career in HR
- Strong attention to detail, since accurate data matters in everything we do
- Discretion and professionalism with confidential information
- Organization and follow-through, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Clear, friendly communication with managers and employees at every level
- Comfort with spreadsheets and learning new systems
Benefits and Perks:
- Flexible schedule: a hybrid work week with two work-from-home days
- Full benefits: medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus life and disability coverage
- Employee discounts: savings at all of our restaurants, venues, and retail shops
- A real career launchpad: full-scope HR experience and direct mentorship that set you up for your next step in HR
- Room to grow: special projects and added responsibility as you build your skills
