The Clinical Director supervises assigned clinic(s) in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws. This role supports a patient-centered clinic environment by leading day-to-day operations, strengthening clinical quality, and ensuring consistent delivery of care.
Success in this position looks like maintaining high standards of patient care and satisfaction, effectively developing and onboarding staff, and partnering with the management team to implement clinical policies and manage clinic resources while also continuing to provide physical therapy services to your own caseload.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day clinic operations to ensure a high standard of patient care and satisfaction.
- Supervise assigned clinic(s) in alignment with organizational policies and applicable laws.
- Onboard, plan, assign, and direct work for employees, including appraising performance and addressing concerns.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement clinical policies and procedures.
- Manage clinic budget, supplies, and operational needs in partnership with leadership.
- Produce a majority of external patient referrals and facilitate the introduction of other staff PTs for patient care as appropriate.
- Train, mentor, and coach new Staff PTs to ensure effective company and clinic onboarding.
- Conduct in-services and continuing education courses for clinic and/or company staff.
- Organize and participate in community and outreach events (including schools, clubs, and fitness facilities).
- Host at least one clinical student (and additional students as available) and support their learning experience.
- Continue operating as a physical therapist for your own therapy clients, including conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, implementing therapeutic techniques, and educating clients on self-management.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and up-to-date billing and documentation for patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes for self and all staff.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace and clinic environment throughout the day, supporting clear and effective communication.
- Current and active Physical Therapist license in the state of Georgia, or ability to obtain one.
- 2+ years of experience as a Physical Therapist with a strong background in sports rehabilitation.
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.
- Management experience preferred but not required.
