Summary
The Dispatcher supports Flight Operations by coordinating daily aircraft dispatching, student check-in, aircraft assignments, and schedule updates. This role communicates with students, instructors, Maintenance, and Operations personnel to help ensure training activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies and applicable aviation regulations.
Essential Functions
- Assist students with check-in for scheduled flight, simulator, or ground activities.
- Assign aircraft to students and instructors based on operational priorities, aircraft availability, and scheduling needs.
- Coordinate efficient ramp-out and ramp-in of training activities.
- Communicate with Maintenance regarding aircraft availability, squawks, discrepancies, and return-to-service status.
- Maintain an organized dispatch area and ensure required supplies and materials are available.
- Monitor schedules and communicate updates, delays, or changes to appropriate team members.
- Follow company policies, safety procedures, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.

- Working knowledge of Flight Operations policies and procedures.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Basic understanding of applicable Federal Aviation Regulations preferred.

Physical Demands
- Primarily involves sedentary work in an office or dispatch environment, including extended periods of sitting and frequent use of a computer and phone.
- May require occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting or carrying items weighing approximately 15–20 pounds as needed.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is an hourly, non-exempt position. Work schedules may vary based on operational needs, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required.

Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Aviation-related education or training.
- Pilot certificate, aircraft dispatcher certificate, or prior dispatch experience.
- Familiarity with flight school operations and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Previous experience in customer service, scheduling, dispatch, administration, or aviation operations.
