Hours/Weeks: Full Year, Full Time 

Hiring Range: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00

SUMMARY:

The Coordinator is responsible for daily on-site operations at NEKCA's Canaan location. This position coordinates service delivery from NEKCA programs and community partner provided service offerings as well as attends community forums in Essex County. The Coordinator will develop new operational systems, manuals, and workflows so that both participants and providers have a point of contact to navigate resources and create a warm and welcoming community space in Canaan.

The Coordinator is part of the Operations Team and reports to the Director of Operations.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Oversee daily operations on site including opening and closing procedures, building safety and security, and coordinating both NEKCA and Partner provided services on site
  • Serve as point of contact for community members and community partners in Essex County to support wrap around service delivery
  • Work collaboratively with community partners to address needs of low-income households
  • Coordinate the task completion of grant deliverables and support grant reporting with on time and accurate data
  • Coordinate the facility and maintenance needs
  • Inventory and stock office and program supplies as needed following NEKCA’s procurement processes.
  • Understand and follow all program guidance and policies
  • Attend and participate in staff, agency and community meetings deemed necessary for job performance


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage security and access to the site
  • Maintain opening and closing procedures, mail delivery procedures, and other operational systems 
  • Develop an Operations Manual for the site
  • Support Grant Management through coordinating tasks, data collection, and grant reporting. 
  • Acting as the site’s primary point of contact in receiving and disseminating building information 
  • Posting and maintaining appropriate signage 
  • Coordinating all facilities and maintenance requests, repairs and visits with Facilities Department 
  • Managing the trash schedule, cleaners schedule and water delivery schedules. 
  • Completing administrative tasks, like completing participant intakes and supporting data entry.
  •       Attend and host community partner meetings to support the Network of Care to improve service delivery on site.

  •   Must have knowledge of basic computer skills and record keeping, including spreadsheet applications. 
  •   Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and database management systems.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Employees in this position work primarily in an office environment with moderate noise levels and controlled temperature conditions. The work involves sitting for extended periods of time, using a computer and other office equipment, and may require occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. Position has occasionally bending, stooping, or reaching for items. Standing or moving around the office area.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

High School diploma/equivalent or higher -BA (preferred)

1-2 relevant experience required; 

3-4 years preferred

Transportation Requirements:

This position requires that employees have access to dependable transportation.
