The Quality Control (QC) Auditor is responsible for evaluating products, materials, processes, and documentation to ensure compliance with company quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. This position conducts inspections, audits, and quality reviews, identifies non-conformances, and works with production teams to implement corrective and preventive actions that improve overall product quality and operational performance.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine audits of manufacturing, production, and operational processes
  • Audit raw materials to ensure vendor compliance before releasing them to the production floor
  • Audit finished goods (product, packaging and documentation) to ensure order accuracy prior to releasing to the customer
  • Inspect finished products, in-process work, and incoming materials to verify compliance with quality standards
  • Review production records, inspection reports, and quality documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Identify defects, non-conformances, and process deviations and document findings
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, logistics, and management teams to resolve quality-related issues
  • Support internal audits as required
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.


Experience

  • 2-5 years of experience in quality control, quality assurance, manufacturing, auditing, or a related field
  • Experience in interpreting drawings, specifications, and work instructions preferred
  • Experience with quality inspection tools and measurement equipment preferred
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of quality management principles and audit practices
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and procedures
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis and corrective action processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in manufacturing, fabrication, construction, aerospace, defense, or industrial environments
  • Experience with ERP and quality management systems

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to inspect products and processes in manufacturing environments
  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to use measuring devices and inspection equipment
  • Frequent computer and documentation work
