Sales and Marketing Support Specialist

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE:

This is a highly collaborative support role that offers meaningful variety and broad cross-functional exposure. The individual will divide their time between sales support responsibilities, including order entry, lead routing, reporting, and CRM administration, and marketing support activities such as maintaining collateral, coordinating trade show logistics, and organizing marketing assets. They will work closely with teams across sales, marketing, production, shipping, finance, and customer service, making strong communication and adaptability essential.

While certain responsibilities, such as order entry and reporting, are recurring, no two days look exactly the same. As a small, agile organization, Medical Packaging values team members who enjoy wearing multiple hats, take initiative, and are eager to contribute wherever support is needed. This role provides excellent exposure across the business and offers long-term opportunities for growth as the individual demonstrates success.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales Support

  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently through regular order entry, the most consistent and process-driven responsibility of the role.
  • Review inbound marketing leads, determine appropriate routing based on territory guidelines, and assign leads to the correct sales representative. This role supports lead distribution but does not communicate directly with prospects.
  • Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to the Commercial Operations team, helping ensure the sales organization remains organized and responsive.•
  • Participate in weekly production and sales meetings, along with monthly Sandler sales training sessions, contributing updates and supporting team initiatives.

Marketing Support

  • Maintain and update sales and marketing collateral, including brochures, price lists, and other customer-facing materials.
  • Organize and manage the company's internal Google Drive, ensuring current documents remain accessible while outdated materials are archived appropriately.
  • Coordinate office-based support for trade shows, marketing initiatives, and advertising campaigns, including planning, logistics, and preparation.
  • Support marketing reporting by tracking prospect activity within Salesforce and utilizing tools such as Microsoft Clarity, Google Analytics, ZoomInfo, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud to provide meaningful business insights.

Reporting & Business Analytics

  • Compile, organize, and distribute reports and business information to internal sales teams and distributor partners.
  • Create reports, dashboards, and presentations using Excel and PowerPoint, including presenting information during Microsoft Teams or other online meeting platforms.
  • Analyze sales, marketing, and operational data to identify trends, support reporting needs, and provide recommendations that improve visibility into business performance.
  • Maintain accurate CRM data and support ongoing reporting, documentation, and process improvements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Production, Shipping, Finance, and Customer Service to support day-to-day business operations.
  • Adapt effectively to changing priorities while balancing recurring administrative responsibilities with a variety of cross-functional projects.
  • Maintain organized documentation, support ongoing document management, and help ensure internal information remains accurate and up to date.


Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OF THE ROLE:

  •  Experience working with an ERP system; Microsoft Business Central experience is a plus.
  •  Experience working with Salesforce.
  •  Familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Microsoft Clarity, Google Analytics, ZoomInfo, or similar marketing analytics and prospecting tools.
  •  Basic financial and analytical aptitude to support reporting, ROI analysis, and business insights.
  •  Strong attention to detail, including proofreading, editing, and maintaining accurate documentation.
  •  Experience creating and delivering presentations in Microsoft Teams and/or in other online meeting platforms.
  •  Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook and Google Workspace.
  •  Exposure to manufacturing, medical device, healthcare, or pharmaceutical environments is preferred but not required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience in marketing, business development and/or sales support


TRAVEL

Less than 20% travel anticipated.
