Primary Responsibilities:
- Partner with faculty and learning support to analyze student needs and identify opportunities to enhance learning and achievement.
- Provide instructional coaching and professional support to teachers through collaboration, modeling, feedback, and reflection.
- Promote and implement effective instructional strategies grounded in current educational research and best practices.
- Utilize data-informed decision-making to support continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
- Collaborate with academic and divisional leadership, and learning support personnel to ensure horizontal and vertical alignment of curriculum, instructional practices, assessments, and student support systems.
- Promote continuity and coherence in the educational experience across grade levels and disciplines.
- Support the mission, values, and academic vision of Duchesne Academy through leadership and collaboration.
- Provide academic support and skill development for students as needed.
- Foster the development of student confidence, self-advocacy, organizational skills, and habits that contribute to academic success.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and support personnel to foster the intellectual, social, and emotional growth of students.
- Serve as a resource for faculty and families in promoting student success and well-being.
Minimum Education/Prior Experience/Qualifications Required
- Master’s degree in educational administration or curriculum and instruction
- Genuine affinity for working with children and families in an educational setting.
- Ability to make independent decisions along with maintaining the confidentiality of privileged and sensitive information.
- High-level of competence using technology.
- Experience in a PreK –12 environment, preferably in independent schools, is a plus.
