Parking Attendant
This position must be filled by someone who is assertive and ready to lead in parking and safety. Parking attendants are the first person guests see when they arrive at The Southern Lights, so a friendly attitude is required. 

• To fulfill this position, you must be willing and ready to stand on your feet and in the cold for the duration of the event. 
• Age Requirement: 14+

Greeter
This position must be filled by someone who is cheerful, welcoming, and kind! It's essential for you to enthusiastically greet every guest! 

• To fulfill this position, you must be able to multitask, meaning communicate with people while checking in / selling tickets. The Greeter must be able to work Square. 
• Age Requirement: 18+. 
• Must be able to speak English.

Bartender
Bartenders must be able to work well under high stress. This position requires someone who is friendly to all customers while being able to quickly create and serve drinks. 

• They must also be able to work Square and must be diligent in following rules, such as checking for ID’s and keeping the bar area stocked and clean. Bar experience is preferred. 
• Age Requirements: 21+. 
• Must be able to speak English.

V.I.P Host / Hostess
The VIP Host / Hostess will be located in the VIP fire pit area and will verify that each guest in the VIP fire pit area has a wristband. The VIP Host / Hostess will walk guests to their tables and make sure that throughout the evening, they are having a great time. 

• When needed, the VIP Host / Hostess will help deliver and serve drinks and food to their tables; therefore, this position requires walking. 
• Age Requirements: 18+. 
• Must be able to speak English.

Beverage / Food Runner
The Beverage / Food Runner will run drinks / food back and forth from The Garden Bar to the VIP fire pits and The Garden Grill to the VIP fire pits. 

• This position will require lots of walking. 
• Age Requirements: Food Runner: 18+-- Drink Runner: 21+
• Must be able to speak English.

Hot Cocoa Maker

Hot Cocoa is The Southern Lights’ #1 selling drink! And because it’s so popular, we need team members to help keep the hot cocoa flowing throughout the night.

• This position may include preparing and refilling hot cocoa at our various hot cocoa stations and/or working at dedicated station(s) where you’ll sell hot cocoa and other food items to our guests. 
• Age Requirement: 18+. 
• Must be able to speak English.

Floater

The Floating position is the go-to support role for The Southern Lights! This team member will help wherever they are needed throughout the night, including but not limited to refilling food items, taking out trash, checking the cleanliness of the tent, changing tablecloths, and making sure the maze and snowball area stay clean and inviting.

• If you’re someone who notices what needs to be done and is willing to jump in and help, this is the role for you! 
• Age Requirement: 16+. 
• Must be able to speak English.

Elves in the Woods

The Elves in the Woods are characters apart of the Elf Quest experience. These elves will be in the woods and will engage with guests on the Elf Quest Experience via throwing "snowballs" and theatrically acting as elves. 

• You must dress warm for this position. The Elves in the Woods must dress up like an elf. 
• Age Requirement: 14+.

Pizza Assistant in The Garden Grille

The Pizza Assistant will be part of the pizza crew, helping wherever needed and assisting with customer interactions by handing guests their pizzas. This position may also include delivering orders to the VIP fire pits, which will require walking throughout the event grounds.

• The Pizza Assistant should be someone who works well under pressure, communicates effectively, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. 
• Age Requirements: 18+. 
• Must be able to speak English.

Cashier in The Garden Grille
The Cashier will handle all transactions between the customer and The Garden Grille. 

• The Cashier must be kind, approachable, able to problem solve quickly, and be able to function well in high stress moments.
• Age Requirement: 18+. 
• Must be able to speak English.

Cleaning Crew

The Cleaning Crew will help prepare The Southern Lights for each night by cleaning food and beverage equipment from the previous evening and resetting each department for the night ahead.

• This is a morning position, with hours potentially running from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM. This role is essential to keeping our operations clean, organized, and ready for another night of The Southern Lights!
