The Warehouse Associate – Shipping / Delivery Driver supports daily warehouse and delivery operations. This hybrid position is responsible for picking, packing, staging, loading, and organizing materials in the warehouse, as well as making local deliveries using a 26-foot box truck. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, comfortable with physical work, and thrives in a “team first” environment.

Responsibilities and Duties:Shipping & Warehouse Operations
  • Pick, pack, and stage orders for delivery or customer pickup.
  • Load and unload trucks safely and accurately based on order requirements.
  • Verify outgoing shipments against packing slips and sales orders.
  • Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and secure loading of materials.
  • Receive, stage, stock, and organize inventory as needed.
  • Identify and report damages, shortages, or discrepancies.
  • Use RF scanners and warehouse systems to track inventory and orders.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse and staging areas.
  • Assist with other warehouse functions as needed.
Delivery Driver
  • Safely operate a 26-foot box truck to complete local deliveries.
  • Deliver products to customer homes, businesses, warehouses, and job sites.
  • Load, secure, transport, and unload materials safely and accurately.
  • Verify orders and obtain required signatures and delivery documentation.
  • Follow assigned routes and use GPS/routing tools as needed.
  • Complete required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Communicate delays, delivery issues, damages, or shortages promptly.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with customers.
  • Follow company safety procedures and applicable DOT requirements.
Customer Service & Team Collaboration
  • Represent Hubbard Supplyhouse with a professional and positive attitude.
  • Work collaboratively with warehouse, delivery, and counter teams.
  • Support team goals and contribute to a “team-first” culture.
  • Communicate issues or delays clearly and promptly.

Requirements

 

Required

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Active DOT medical card.
  • Valid driver’s license held for at least 3 years with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience driving a 26-foot box truck or similar vehicle.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a warehouse, shipping/receiving, delivery, or physical labor role.
  • Experience loading and unloading heavy or bulky products.
  • Ability to regularly lift and move up to 75 pounds.
  • Basic computer and scanning-tool proficiency.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work at a consistent pace.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.

Preferred

  • Experience making local deliveries to homes, businesses, warehouses, or job sites.
  • Experience in plumbing, irrigation, construction materials, or wholesale distribution.
  • Familiarity with shipping software or ERP systems.
  • Experience operating pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material-handling equipment.
  • Experience using RF scanners, GPS, and routing tools.
  • Strong customer service experience.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt during high-volume periods.
