Greater Nashua Mental Health is seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Medical Administrative Assistant to join our Medical Services team. This position serves as a vital administrative resource supporting medical providers, nursing staff, and clients by coordinating scheduling, managing communications, organizing documentation, and ensuring timely access to medical services.

Key Responsibilities

  •  Schedule client visits and coordinate access to medical services across agency programs.
  •  Ensure patients are scheduled promptly following hospital discharge.
  •  Manage appointment cancellations utilizing Just in Time scheduling principles.
  •  Manage incoming phone calls and accurately document and route messages to medical and nursing staff.
  •  Review and triage voicemails daily.
  •  Coordinate document flow, medical records requests, laboratory results, and provider documentation.
  •  Provide administrative support to medical and nursing staff.
  •  Process incoming and interdepartmental mail.
  •  Maintain office supply inventory and support daily department operations.
  •  Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Medical Support Staff Coordinator or Chief Medical Officer.


Qualifications

  •  High School Diploma or GED required.
  •  Less than one year of related administrative, medical office, or customer service experience required.
  •  Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  •  Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  •  Strong customer service and de-escalation skills.
  •  Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
  •  Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to changing workloads.
  •  Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  •  Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality.

Salary Range


 $17.59/hr - $23.23/hr
