General description (purpose)

The Videographer & Content Producer captures, edits and publishes the video and photo content that

tells the story of NPHX Church. This role owns content from camera to upload: sermon reels,

SEO-optimized long-form YouTube videos, ministry reels and weekly photography. It partners with every ministry to create mission-focused content that moves people to know God and take a next step.

Requirements

Specific job responsibilities

Capture — video and photography: ~25%

• Shoots Sunday services, baptisms, special events and ministry moments on Canon and Sony

cinema and mirrorless systems.

• Captures fresh photography weekly for social media, the website and promotional materials.

• Plans and runs shoots end to end: shot lists, lighting, audio capture, gimbals and lenses.

• Maintains, preps and troubleshoots all camera, lighting, audio and grip equipment.


Edit and post-production: ~60%

• Edits sermon reels, ministry highlight videos, baptism stories, sermon bumpers and worship

creative in Premiere Pro.

• Builds titles, lower thirds and motion graphics in After Effects.

• Edits and color-grades photography in Lightroom to a consistent church look.

• Delivers on fast turnarounds, including same-week sermon clips and next-day event recaps.

• Ensures all video and photo content meets brand and quality standards.


Publish and optimize: ~10%

• Uploads long-form YouTube videos with researched titles, descriptions, timestamps, tags and

thumbnails built for search.

• Formats and publishes vertical reels for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube Shorts.

• Tracks views, retention and engagement, and adjusts content based on what performs.

• Manages an organized archive of finished projects, raw footage and photos for future use.


Ministry coordination: ~5%

• Meets with ministries to understand their needs and plan content throughout the year.

• Creates reels and promotional videos that make it easy to join groups, take classes and serve.

• Participates in service planning, creative and production meetings.

• Works with Production, Worship, Design and Communications teams on other duties as

assigned.



Qualifications (skills, experience and education)

Required

• 2–4 years of professional videography and video editing experience. No degree required — your

portfolio speaks for you.

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and Lightroom.

• Strong working knowledge of Canon and Sony camera systems, plus lenses, lighting, audio and

stabilizers.

• Proven experience creating and uploading short-form reels and long-form YouTube videos.

• Working knowledge of YouTube SEO: keyword research, titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails and

analytics.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and hit tight weekly deadlines with positivity and flexibility.

• Highly relational, with the ability to collaborate with people of all ages and backgrounds.

• Clear, professional communication in person and in writing.


Preferred

• Experience with Photoshop, Canva or other design tools for thumbnails and graphics.

• Experience with live event or multi-camera capture.

• Familiarity with social media platforms and their best practices.

• Experience creating content for a church or nonprofit.

Schedule and availability


This role works Sundays plus Monday through Thursday, with occasional weeknight events.
