Facility Manager
Description

Looking for a live-in facility manager who will reside and live at the facility and will work 40 hours a week. Someone who is in long-term recovery preferred. Rent will be deducted from paycheck. 

  • Follows and ensures compliance with all Walking Sober House Policies and Procedures.
  • Ensures that all NARR Level III Property Standards are met.
  • Ensures that all NARR Level III Good Neighbor Standards are met.
  • Fosters a professional partnership with local law enforcement.
  • Builds community connections to include resources brought into the facility, volunteer opportunities for both the community and residents, and employment opportunities for residents.
  • Supervises all Recovery Support Specialists.
  • Creates weekly work schedule for Recovery Support Specialists.
  • Ensures compliance with rules surrounding prescription and non-prescription medication usage and storage by staff and residents.
  • Responsible for applicant screenings.
  • Provides orientation to new residents, clearly communicating residents’ rights and requirements, and collects demographic and emergency contact information.
  • Reviews and approves residents’ weekly schedules.
  • Is always aware of residents’ activities and whereabouts.
  • Informs and coaches residents on rules and policies of the Walking Sober House.
  • Conducts weekly house meetings.
  • Coordinates, schedules and provides transportation according to residents’ needs.
  • Determines appropriate actions to be taken for residents who fail to comply with House Rules in conjunction with supervisor.
  • Determines appropriate actions to be taken for residents who return to alcohol and/or drug use in conjunction with supervisor and with clinical input from the Director of Clinical Services and Performance.
  • Addresses resident grievances in conjunction with supervisor.
  • Addresses neighbor complaints in conjunction with supervisor.
  • Maintains a safe environment for residents and fellow staff.
  • Conducts themselves as a positive role model of the Walker Center and promptly alerts a supervisor to potentially unethical behavior.
  • Flexibility and availability for all shifts.  
  • Compiles a shift report and daily documentation to meet deadline
  • Conducts fire drills and completes required reporting, with the ability to delegate responsibilities as appropriate.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Substance Use Disorder training or Recovery Coach training preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with others. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and general computer systems, with the ability to learn and maintain Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet Motor Vehicle (MVR) requirements.
  • Ability to operate a variety of office equipment and machinery, including a computer, printer, photocopier, facsimile machine, and telephone.
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position including walking, standing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50 pounds, typing, and repetitive motions.
  • If in recovery from a Substance Use Disorder, must have a minimum of three (3) years of sobriety from substances of use.  
  • Must pass pre-hire requirements including a criminal background check, urinalysis (UA), and TB test.
  • Must obtain CPR certification within ninety (90) days of hire.
Salary Description
$18.00
