Description

T&DS M&ST shall provide T&DS capable of executing stand-up instruction.  Assigned personnel shall be proficient in the facilitation of in-person training sessions,  workshops, and group presentations, maintaining active participant engagement and  effectively conveying required learning objectives.  

 Completion of Academic Instructor Course (or equivalent) is mandatory prior to  assuming duties.

M&ST Training and Development Specialist Qualifications


 M&ST Training and Development Specialists must have a bachelor’s degree or  qualifying equivalency as noted in 

 One (1) year of online instruction experience at the undergraduate level or military  equivalent using locally approved LMS (e.g., Canvas, MS Teams, or similar  technologies) is mandatory.   


Two (2) years of supervisory, leadership, and/or management teaching experience  is mandatory. Work experience can be submitted as this qualification; however, it is  preferred to be federal (especially DAF) civilian employee or comparable.  


Demonstrated experience developing and implementing online course content  within an LMS (e.g., Moodle, Canvas), to include building modules, assessments, and  learning activities.  


Demonstrated knowledge of instructional design principles (e.g., adult learning  theory) and their application in developing effective training.   


Experience developing instructional materials such as fact sheets, handouts, guides,  instructor manuals, and/or job aids.  


 Experience using virtual classroom/meeting platforms (e.g., MS Teams, Zoom) and  integrating them with LMS-supported instruction. 


Experience maintaining and updating course materials based on stakeholder (e.g.,  Course Directors or T&DS) feedback and established guidance. 


Ability to provide guidance or recommendations to stakeholders on course design  and LMS utilization.  


Proficiency with common curriculum development and content authoring tools  (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Articulate, Adobe Captivate, or equivalent).
