Site Supervisor
Description

 

The Security Supervisor is responsible for providing day-to-day leadership and oversight of security personnel at an assigned client site. This role ensures security operations are executed consistently, professionally, and in accordance with established post orders, client requirements, and company policies. 

The Security Supervisor serves as a key point of contact between security personnel, site management, Operations Leadership, and the client. The position requires strong leadership, communication, organization, and the ability to respond effectively to operational and security-related situations. 

Core Duties include 

Team Leadership & Operational Oversight 

  1. Supervise and provide direction to assigned security personnel. 
  2. Ensure officers are properly positioned, prepared, and performing assigned duties. 
  3. Monitor adherence to post orders, policies, procedures, and client requirements. 
  4. Maintain a professional, service-oriented security presence. 
  5. Lead by example and reinforce expectations for professionalism, accountability, and customer service. 
  6. Identify operational gaps and communicate staffing or performance concerns to Operations Leadership. 

Training, Coaching & Development 

  1. Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and mentoring to security personnel. 
  2. Ensure officers understand site-specific post orders, procedures, emergency protocols, and client expectations. 
  3. Support new employee onboarding and site orientation. 
  4. Reinforce customer service and professional communication standards. 
  5. Identify training needs and recommend additional development when appropriate. 
  6. Provide performance feedback and document coaching or corrective actions as required. 

Scheduling & Staffing Coordination 

  1. Assist with or manage scheduling for assigned security personnel. 
  2. Monitor attendance, punctuality, call-offs, and staffing coverage. 
  3. Coordinate coverage for open posts, absences, and schedule changes. 
  4. Communicate staffing shortages or anticipated coverage issues to Operations Leadership. 
  5. Support efficient deployment of personnel based on site requirements and operational priorities. 

Incident Management & Emergency Response 

  1. Respond to security, safety, medical, and operational incidents as appropriate. 
  2. Take an active leadership role during emergencies and other critical situations. 
  3. Follow established escalation procedures and contact emergency services when necessary. 
  4. Ensure incidents are properly documented and reported to the appropriate leadership and client contacts. 
  5. Support de-escalation and resolution of incidents while maintaining a safe and professional environment. 
  6. Preserve relevant information and documentation for follow-up investigations. 

Reporting & Documentation 

  1. Review daily activity reports, incident reports, shift pass-downs, and other required documentation for accuracy and completeness. 
  2. Ensure security personnel complete required reports in a timely manner. 
  3. Maintain accurate records related to staffing, incidents, training, inspections, and performance. 
  4. Communicate significant events, trends, and operational concerns to management. 
  5. Ensure required documentation is maintained in accordance with company and client procedures. 

Client & Site Collaboration 

  1. Maintain professional working relationships with client representatives and site management. 
  2. Serve as a point of contact for day-to-day security-related matters. 
  3. Ensure security operations support the client's business and customer service expectations. 
  4. Communicate client feedback and operational changes to the security team. 
  5. Partner with site management to identify and address security, safety, and service concerns. 

Site Inspections & Compliance 

  1. Conduct routine inspections of assigned security posts and personnel. 
  2. Verify that required equipment, access points, patrol areas, and security systems are functioning as expected. 
  3. Identify safety, security, maintenance, or facility concerns and escalate appropriately. 
  4. Ensure personnel remain compliant with site procedures and applicable regulations. 
  5. Support audits, client reviews, and operational assessments as requested. 

Performs additional functions, duties and specific tasks of a similar nature and scope as necessary in order to achieve assigned business objectives. 

Requirements

 

  • Must be authorized to work in the US 
  • Vaid driver's license and acceptable driving record 
  • Calid BSIS Guard Card 
  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience in security mobile patrol, public safety, military, law enforcement, or related preferred 
  • Ability to operate a company vehicle safely and responsibly 
  • Ability to use mobile devices and electronic reporting system 
  • Experience in high-touch customer service, security supervision, law enforcement, or a related field. 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Proven experience in building and cultivating strong relationships. 
  • Knowledge of security protocols, risk management, and compliance requirements. 
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions under pressure. 
  • Proficiency in using security management software and tools. 
  • Stand and/or Walk up to 8 hours a day 
  • No visible tattoos 

Skills & Competencies  

As demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing 

  • CPR & First Aid Certification  
  • Strong understanding of commercial security solutions, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, fire/life safety systems, and integrated security technologies. 
  • Strong skill in oral and written communications, including effective daily and incident reporting.   
  • Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and visitors.  
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.  
  • Ability to be an effective team member and handle project assignments responsibly.  
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the external environment and organization.  
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors and in varying weather conditions depending on the assigned post 
  • Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the assigned shift
