Key Responsibilities:

- Perform a variety of mechanical and millwright maintenance duties under the guidance of senior maintenance mechanics.

- Follow detailed instructions and prescribed routines to complete maintenance tasks efficiently.

- Assist with major projects, including tearing down and reassembling operating mechanisms, holding and positioning work, and running errands as needed.

- Conduct routine carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and related tasks such as cutting and ripping wood, building or repairing floors and stairs, mixing mortar or cement, and repairing concrete surfaces.

- Oil and lubricate equipment, replace defective filters, and perform other scheduled preventive maintenance.

- Preform basic troubleshooting of equipment

- Report any damaged or faulty equipment to ensure timely repairs and safety compliance.


Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience or training in mechanical maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, or masonry.

- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work from routine procedures.

- Basic knowledge of equipment lubrication, filter replacement, and preventive maintenance practices.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment.

- Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications are a plus.

Requirements

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or 3 years work experience.

· Practice good oral and written communication skills.

· Have or secure forklift certification required.

· Participate in training events (ie; Lockout/Tagout; HazCom; and overhead crane training)

· Treat all co-workers with dignity and respect.

· Possess basic math skills.

· Possess basic organizational skills.

· Maintain positive attitude towards work and work environment.

Salary Description
21.00-24.00 based on Experience
