Overview
We’re seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Talent Sourcer who excels at finding and engaging highly specialized talent beyond traditional applicant pools. You will source physicians, clinical scientists, data scientists, statisticians, and other specialized professionals through professional networks, research, conferences, technical communities, and non-traditional channels. This role combines talent intelligence, modern sourcing techniques, AI-enabled research, and authentic relationship-building. You will build talent maps, develop proactive sourcing strategies, engage passive candidates, and partner with hiring teams to create sustainable pipelines of highly qualified talent.
What You’ll do
Strategic Sourcing & Talent Intelligence
- Build talent maps across clinical, scientific, statistical, and data science disciplines, identifying key employers, academic institutions, research groups, professional societies, and talent communities.
- Identify candidates through publications, conference agendas, abstracts, presentations, research programs, technical communities, and professional networks.
- Leverage platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, PubMed, ClinicalTrials.gov, ORCID, Google Scholar, GitHub, Kaggle, arXiv, and Hugging Face.
- Develop sophisticated Boolean, web-search, and research strategies for hard-to-find talent.
- Use AI-enabled tools to accelerate research, identify prospects, organize talent pools, and improve sourcing efficiency.
Candidate Engagement & Outreach
- Develop targeted sourcing campaigns to engage passive candidates across clinical, scientific, and technical communities.
- Create highly personalized outreach based on candidates’ research, publications, presentations, technical expertise, and career interests.
- Build long-term relationships and passive talent communities rather than relying solely on active applicants.
- Develop recruiting content, event follow-ups, social campaigns, and other talent-attraction initiatives.
- Represent the organization at relevant scientific, healthcare, and technical conferences and networking events.
Hiring Partnership & Analytics
- Partner with hiring managers to understand talent requirements, search strategies, and distinguish required qualifications from preferences.
- Monitor sourcing and recruiting metrics including qualified candidates, response rates, conversions, time-to-fill, offer acceptance, and hiring outcomes.
- Evaluate sourcing channels and campaigns to continuously improve pipeline quality and recruiting effectiveness.
- US Citizenship.
- Over five (5+) years of progressive experience in specialized, technical, scientific, healthcare, or talent sourcing/recruiting.
- Demonstrated success with LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, web sourcing, and talent research.
- Experience sourcing physicians, scientists, PhDs, data scientists, statisticians, or other highly specialized professionals.
- Working knowledge of data science disciplines, including data science, biostatistics, machine learning, data engineering, and analytics.
- Experience developing proactive recruiting campaigns and engaging passive candidates.
- Hands-on experience using AI/LLM tools or AI-enabled recruiting technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in healthcare, life sciences, clinical research, pharma, regulatory, or government recruiting.
- Experience sourcing data scientists, statisticians, AI/ML professionals, informaticists, or clinical research talent.
- Familiarity with scientific research platforms, professional societies, academic networks, or technical/open-source communities.
- Experience building talent communities and representing an organization at professional conferences.
