John W. McDougall Company, Inc., a metal fabricator in Nashville, TN, is looking for a skilled Quality Control Inspector for our 1st Shift Operations. This person will be responsible for verifying that all production parts and assemblies are manufactured in accordance with job instructions and to customer provided drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize customer provided drawings and specifications along with the included route sheet to determine production requirements.
• Ensure components cosmetically meet customer provided drawings and specifications.
• Ensure component dimensions meet customer provided drawings and specifications.
• Ensure all production processes have been completed as required.
• Ensure part marking is complete and accurate per customer’s requirements.
• Ensure packaging meets or exceeds the customer’s specifications.
• Ensure calibration of inspection tools and equipment is up-to-date.
• Complete internal and external non-conformance reports as required.
• Keep workstation clean and organized.

• Minimum of 2 years inspection experience
• Able to read blue prints and verify dimensional data using various inspection equipment such as calipers, go/no-go gauges, tape measures, etc.
• Energetic and positive personality a must.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment a must.
• Physical conditioning to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
