Description
The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day accounting functions of a private medical practice. This position ensures financial transactions are recorded accurately, accounts are reconciled regularly, and financial reports are prepared in a timely manner.

Requirements
- Record and reconcile financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable
- Maintain and update general ledger entries
- Prepare and process invoices, payments, and bank deposits
- Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reports
- Monitor and manage financial records to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and reports
- Process payroll
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in bookkeeping or accounting is a plus
