TRI is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Coordinator to support purchasing, material planning, inventory, supplier coordination, production requirements, and logistics. This role provides hands-on experience in manufacturing operations, supplier management, ERP systems, inventory, purchasing, and logistics.

Position Summary

The Supply Chain Coordinator supports the day-to-day execution of TRI's purchasing, material planning, inventory, supplier coordination, and logistics activities. The position helps ensure materials and components are available to support production and customer requirements, purchase orders and ERP records are accurate, supplier commitments are monitored, and potential supply or delivery issues are identified and communicated in a timely manner. The role works cross-functionally with Production, Project Management, Customer Success, Accounting, suppliers, warehouses, and logistics providers.


Requirements

Job Duties

· Create, issue, and maintain purchase orders for raw materials, components, packaging, and outside services in accordance with established purchasing requirements and authorization guidelines.

· Monitor open purchase orders and follow up with suppliers on production status, quantities, and delivery dates.

· Confirm supplier pricing, MOQ, lead times, quantities, and shipping requirements.

· Coordinate material availability with production schedules, customer demand, and project requirements.

· Monitor inventory levels and identify potential shortages, excess inventory, or timing risks.

· Support material planning and purchasing based on forecasts, customer orders, inventory, and production requirements.

· Coordinate domestic and international shipments with suppliers, warehouses, freight forwarders, and carriers.

· Track inbound and outbound shipments and assist with resolving delivery or documentation issues.

· Maintain accurate purchasing, inventory, supplier, and shipment information in NetSuite or other ERP systems.

· Assist with Purchase Order processing and related supporting documentation.

· Coordinate with Production and Project Management on material requirements for new product launches.

· Coordinate follow up with suppliers regarding quality, delivery, documentation, or quantity discrepancies, working with Quality and other appropriate departments as needed.

· Support supplier communication regarding specifications, certificates, lot information, material documentation, and other requirements.

· Assist with landed cost, freight, purchasing, and inventory analysis as needed.

· Support inventory reconciliation and investigate discrepancies.

· Monitor supplier performance, including lead time and on-time delivery.

· Maintain organized digital and physical records to support operational efficiency and audit readiness.

· Handle confidential documents in accordance with company policies.

· Support special projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and other operational tasks as business needs change.

· Identify and promptly communicate material shortages, supplier delays, pricing discrepancies, inventory concerns, and other supply chain risks that could affect production schedules or customer requirements.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

· Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, Logistics, or a related field preferred.

· Equivalent education, relevant experience, internship/co-op experience, or demonstrated ability will also be considered.

Skills & Qualifications

This is an entry-level to early-career position. Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply, and training will be provided.

· Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

· Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· A willingness to learn ERP systems, purchasing processes, inventory controls, logistics, and manufacturing operations.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Teams and PowerPoint.

· Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.

· Professionalism, initiative, accountability, and a proactive approach to follow-up.

· Ability to adapt to changing priorities and provide flexible support outside core supply chain duties when needed.

Preferred, but not required:

· Experience with ERP software such as NetSuite.

· Exposure to purchasing, order processing, manufacturing, inventory, logistics, import/export, or 3PL operations.

· Previous internship, co-op, supply chain, customer service, or administrative experience.

Position Type

· Full-time position.

· On-site position located in Knoxville, Tennessee.

· Standard business hours, Monday through Friday.

· Reports to the Supply Chain or Business Operations leadership.

· The position may support additional departments, special projects, or operational priorities as business needs change.
