E-Recording Specialist
Description

The E-Recording Specialist digitally submits, audits, and tracks real estate legal documents like deeds and mortgages with county recording offices using secure online portals.


Responsibilities and Duties Include:

  • Document Audit: Review executed closing documents for proper signatures, legal descriptions, and notary compliance before filing.
  • Electronic Filing: Submit real estate packages through secure e-recording platforms (such as Simplifile) to county courthouses.
  • Fee Accounting: Calculate, balance, and process recording fees and transfer taxes, avoiding rejections due to incorrect payments.
  • Error Resolution: Track rejections or county feedback, correct indexing or data errors, and re-submit filings quickly.
  • Workflow Management: Update title production software (specifically ResWare) to log recording status, confirmation numbers, and final stamped images
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance as an essential function of the position, ensuring consistent coverage of duties during scheduled business hours

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years related experience required. 
  • General understanding of residential real estate transactions, title and loan closing procedures preferred.
