The Opportunity

Bill Jacobs Motorsport is seeking an HR Coordinator to manage recruiting from the opening of a position through the candidate’s first day and support our day-to-day HR operations. You will assess candidates, partner with dealership hiring managers, recommend candidate selections and starting pay, and help new employees make a smooth transition into the organization.

Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, you will combine sound recruiting judgment with accurate, responsive HR administration. This role is suited to someone who takes ownership of assignments, communicates proactively, and follows through on the details that create a positive candidate and employee experience.

 
 

What You Will Do

  • Manage the talent acquisition process from position opening through the candidate’s first day, prioritizing recruiting activity based on staffing needs.
  • Determine recruiting and sourcing strategies, create and maintain job postings, and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Review applications and resumes, conduct initial phone screens, and use independent judgment to determine which candidates advance to dealership interviews.
  • Evaluate candidates using job-related criteria, including qualifications, experience, communication skills, and position requirements; partner with hiring managers and recommend candidate selections.
  • Evaluate candidate pay expectations and recommend starting rates based on qualifications, experience, role requirements, internal pay equity, established pay ranges, and market conditions.
  • Manage candidate communications, interview coordination, ATS records, background checks, Motor Vehicle Records, drug screens, and other applicable pre-employment requirements.
  • Extend offers and communicate employment terms as authorized; coordinate the transition from candidate to employee.
  • Coordinate onboarding and new hire orientation, prepare documentation, complete HRIS setup, and audit new hire files for accuracy and completeness.
  • Process employee changes and internal transfers; maintain accurate, confidential employee records and support HRIS data audits and reporting.
  • Assist with benefits administration, performance review coordination, employee recognition programs, HR communications, and special projects.

Requirements

  

What You Bring

· Two or more years of relevant HR or recruiting experience, including demonstrated ability to manage recruiting from candidate screening through offer and onboarding.

· Experience assessing candidates, partnering with hiring managers, and managing competing recruiting priorities; benefits administration experience strongly preferred.

· HRIS and Applicant Tracking System experience required; Paylocity experience preferred.

· Strong organization, attention to detail, and verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

· Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and provide proactive updates while collaborating with the HR team and hiring managers.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint; Adobe Acrobat/Adobe Sign and Canva experience preferred.

· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Salary Description
$60,000–$68,000
