Stephenson Equipment, Inc. (SEI) is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead the safe, efficient, customer-focused, and financially responsible operation of an assigned branch. This highly visible leadership role brings together sales, service, parts, rental, facilities, and administrative teams to operate as one organization and deliver a strong customer experience.


What You’ll Do

  • Provide overall leadership and accountability for branch performance, safety, customer experience, and financial results.
  • Align sales, service, parts, rental, facilities, and administrative teams around clear priorities and company goals.
  • Develop department leaders, strengthen teamwork, and create a culture of ownership, urgency, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
  • Review operational and financial performance, identify gaps, assign corrective actions, and ensure improvements are sustained.
  • Drive service execution through consistent workflows, effective scheduling, customer updates, work-in-process management, invoicing, and job closeout.
  • Support parts availability, inventory discipline, rental readiness, equipment utilization, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Serve as the senior local point of accountability for significant customer concerns and help protect long-term relationships.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, professional branch while supporting compliance, facility needs, fleet oversight, and company initiatives.
  • Communicate branch results, risks, resource needs, and improvement opportunities to executive and functional leadership.

What We're Looking For

  •  Progressive leadership experience in branch operations, equipment distribution, service, parts, rental, construction equipment, fleet, industrial operations, or a comparable environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading multiple functions, developing employees, managing competing priorities, and driving accountability through others.
  • Working knowledge of financial statements, budgets, operational metrics, customer service practices, and process improvement.
  • Strong communication, judgment, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in business, operations, management, or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to learn and effectively use company systems, reports, and standard office technology.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as business needs require.
