Program Summary
The IRCO IT/IS Department delivers secure, reliable, and high-quality technology solutions that support the Organization’s mission, vision, and values. The department encompasses Information Technology (IT) services—including end-user computing, phones and mobile devices, print and imaging, Microsoft applications, servers, networks, and cybersecurity—as well as Information Systems (IS), which include case management databases, business process automation, cloud-based application automation, and knowledge management. Together, IT and IS create a unified approach that integrates computing, data, and technical expertise to effectively support IRCO.
Position Summary
The Senior IS (Information Systems) Specialist provides technical solutions for development, deployment and support for IRCO staff for cloud apps and automation solutions for IRCO. This position requires extended knowledge and experience in Information Systems core skills (Software Development, Data Analysis and Database Fundamentals). The Senior IS Specialist focused on automation should be knowledgeable and have 2+ years of experience with developing applications for web app development platforms. They should be able to code and to effectively develop the production-quality app with AI tools, aware of security and various constraints. In addition, the individual can plan and carry out IS projects independently from planning to deployment. Also, the Senior IS Specialist should have expert knowledge in at least two of the Information Systems areas (Automation, Data Analytics and Cloud App/ Databases) as well as consistently demonstrated behavioral skills in problem solving, communication, creativity, and customer-orientation.
Essential Functions
- Ensure program(s) meet IRCO's Program Management Standards (PMS) and use associated tools whenever possible. Engage in continuous learning for program improvement."
- Ability to initiate, lead, and manage projects with varied professional backgrounds.
- Develop cloud applications in two of these platforms: PowerApps Platform, Web applications development platform, and Scripting such as Python.
- Perform Data Analysis with Excel and apply Statistics in data analysis.
- Capture and develop requirements working including workflows and business processes for the Apps.
- Train others and be able to develop and improve application development methodology.
- Set up, develop software and manage software development projects and SQL Database in cloud apps as well as use GitHub and source code control.
- Define and develop Microsoft PowerApps and Power Automate (or similar automation flow development).
- Define, develop, and deploy automation flows through scripting.
- Evaluate, set up an external Cloud Application/flow and provide training.
- Independently perform Data Analytics and Report on the data.
- Proficient in working in Microsoft Cloud Computing Solutions including cloud files/folder management.
- Independently resolve cyber security risks and develop new prevention measures to close cyber security issues.
Secondary Functions
- Evaluate and assess new cloud application solutions.
- Provide training to IRCO users on the use of cloud apps.
- Able to perform computer application debug/issues.
- Attend meetings as required.
- Engage in IRCO required training.
Education & Experience
MINIMUM JOB SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Minimum 2 years of related work experience.
- Software Development Lifecycle and Coding experience, including with AI tools.
- Experience with Data Analysis methods and statistical analysis for complex datasets.
- Extended knowledge of Microsoft Cloud Computing.
- Knowledge and experience in working in MS-Office and automation.
- Technical problem solving and debugging skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Communicate effectively in a professional manner verbally and in writing
