Zuern Building Products is looking to hire a Dispatcher at our Allenton location. As a Dispatcher at Zuern, you will play a key role in the daily coordination of deliveries, communication between departments, and support of our customers. This position serves as an important link between sales, operations, drivers, and customers to help ensure deliveries are scheduled efficiently and customer expectations are exceeded.
A Typical Day in This Role Includes:
- Coordinating daily delivery schedules and routes
- Communicating with sales teams regarding customer deliveries, returns, and scheduling needs
- Working closely with drivers, yard teams, receiving teams, and other dispatchers to ensure efficient operations
- Serving as a point of contact for contractors regarding order revisions and additions
- Managing invoicing, order processing, and returns
- Assisting with inventory management and monthly cycle counts
- Monitoring deliveries throughout the day and adjusting schedules as needed
- Utilizing BisTrack and other systems to manage orders and delivery information
- Communicating delivery updates and information to customers
- Resolving delivery concerns and customer issues in a professional manner
- Supporting yard and receiving operations when necessary
- Collaborating across departments to ensure a smooth customer experience
- Assisting with other operational and administrative duties as assigned
- High School Diploma and lumberyard experience, or a 2-4 year degree related to business or the construction industry
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn and utilize Zuern Building Products software systems, including BisTrack
- Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to work with measurements and calculations
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think proactively
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Outstanding customer service skills with a focus on building positive relationships
- Ability to work collaboratively with sales, operations, drivers, contractors, and customers
- Forklift experience or the ability to safely operate a forklift preferred
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and perform physical activities including bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and reaching
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license and the ability to operate company vehicles
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, with approximately 25% of the time spent in the yard and 75% indoors
