The Mortgage Loan Assistant will assist loan officers and processors in managing the mortgage application process. This employee will collect and organize borrower information, verify application details, communicate with clients, schedule appointments, and ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately and on time.
Essential Functions:
- Assist loan officers with pre-qualification reviews, loan application processing, and ongoing pipeline management to ensure timely and accurate loan progression.
- Gather and organize financial and personal information for borrowers to complete loan applications.
- Support loan officers in all aspects of their social media marketing and business development.
- Review applicant information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain communication with borrowers to provide updates on their application status and answer any questions they may have.
- Arrange appointments for loan officers and borrowers as needed.
- Verify all required documents are completed accurately and submitted on time.
- Enter borrower information into loan processing systems accurately.
- Keep detailed records of borrower information, application status, and communication history.
- Perform general administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and copying documents.
- Support efforts to grow the business by identifying new clients and opportunities.
- Research market trends and competitors to support planning and strategy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED, required.
- Ability to accurately review and process large amounts of information.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize work effectively.
