General Job Summary: 

New Horizon Bank is seeking a VP, Director of Treasury Management to lead and continue building the Bank’s Treasury Management function. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the infrastructure behind how New Horizon delivers treasury services to its commercial, institutional, and private banking clients. The Director will own the Bank’s Treasury Management policies, procedures, risk framework, product structure, implementation processes, pricing discipline, vendor relationships, audit and examination readiness, and day-to-day operating model.


   

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Own the Treasury Management strategy, roadmap, operating model, and product suite.
  • Partner with Commercial Banking, Operations, Technology, Compliance, Risk, and executive leadership to develop scalable capabilities and processes.
  • Evaluate and implement new products, technologies, vendors, and capabilities based on client needs, risk, economics, and strategic value.
  • Establish Treasury Management pricing standards, approval authorities, and relationship-pricing frameworks.
  • Monitor product utilization, revenue, profitability, service quality, and client adoption; provide reporting to leadership.
  • Own Treasury Management policies, procedures, controls, documentation, and governance.
  • Lead Treasury Management responses to audits, regulatory examinations, compliance reviews, and risk assessments; ensure findings are remediated.
  • Manage key vendor relationships and partner with Technology and Operations on implementations and enhancements.
  • Own the implementation process from sale through activation, ensuring clear handoffs, strong controls, and a high-quality client experience.
  • Partner with Commercial Bankers and Relationship Managers on complex opportunities, client discussions, sales tools, and banker training.
  • Lead, develop, and scale the Treasury Management team while establishing clear accountability and service standards.
  • Serve as the Bank’s subject-matter expert on Treasury Management products and services.
Requirements

  Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of commercial deposit and Treasury Management products, including ACH, wires, online banking, positive pay, remote deposit capture, account analysis, fraud controls, and related services.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Treasury Management risk, controls, policies, procedures, and regulatory expectations.
  • Experience supporting audits, examinations, risk assessments, and remediation efforts.
  • Experience with Treasury Management implementations and vendor management.
  • Strong understanding of pricing, relationship profitability, and fee structures.
  • Ability to work effectively across Commercial Banking, Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, and executive leadership.

Education and Experience:

  • Significant Treasury Management experience within a commercial bank or comparable financial institution.
  • Experience leading or developing employees preferred.
  • Strong judgment with the ability to balance client experience, growth, risk, and operational scalability.
