At an entry level perform or learn to perform the following:
• Provide support for DevSecOps and interfacing systems to develop requirements and systems designs that meet the needs of software development teams.
• Help design cloud solutions of Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical development and test environments on Amazon Web Services, aligned with business goals of software development teams, including defining architectural standards and guiding cloud adoption strategies.
• Learn to manage and maintain core AWS services, demonstrating expertise in services including, but not limited to: Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), EC2, Lambda, S3, EBS, Glacier, Application Load Balancer (ALB), Route 53, AppStream 2.0, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and EC2 Image Builder.
• Help create, maintain, and enhance DevSecOps pipelines for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), using tools including but not limited to the following: Ansible, Podman/Docker.
• Use Git, Git Bash, and Gitlab software version control tools for source code management.
• Configure Cisco iOS, Cisco NX-OS, and Siemens Ruggedcom computer networking switches and routers.
• Help develop individual software unit tests from the requirements and design documents in order to demonstrate that the modified computer programs satisfy the requirements and design.
• Conduct software development unit testing following test plans and test procedures.
• Help develop, maintain, and configuration manage software installation procedures, instructions, notices and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Provide distance and onsite troubleshooting of software and system.
• Use Jira for software issue reporting and tracking tools.
• Help develop, plan, schedule, and execute test plans for software, equipment alignment, operating system, and issue verification.
• Help develop and execute test procedures for DevSecOps Software, equipment alignment, operating system, and issue verification.
• Record in Jira any problems, faults, or deficiencies found during software, hardware, and system integration testing.
• Troubleshoot issues during testing and identify root cause and solutions to issues to enable testing to continue.
• Assist in the development and execution of the configuration management process for development environment documentation and work products.
• Create technical documentation and summaries of analyses, including engineering analysis, impact analysis, decision & risk analysis, root-cause analysis, technical white papers, and engineering papers.
• Provide requirements engineering support to develop and maintain requirement traceability matrix.
• Provide distance and onsite troubleshooting of hardware, system, and field device issues.
• Help develop, maintain, and configuration manage hardware and system installation procedures, instructions, notices and Standard Operating Procedures.
Minimum Education: BS degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering from an ABET accredited program, or BS Degree in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Data Science, Information Sciences.
Minimum Experience: One (1) year of professional experience developing software using one or more high-level languages such as Java, Python, Go, or C++.
Must possess an active secret security clearance
