Reports To: Supply Chain Director

Salary Range: $55,000 - $60,000 annually

Location: Evansville, WI


Position Summary

The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day purchasing and supply chain activities of the organization, with a primary focus on MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations)/Indirect purchasing and Outsource/Subcontract purchasing processes. This role serves as a key point of contact between internal stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring timely procurement, accurate ERP data maintenance, and effective coordination of outsourced materials and services.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow established purchasing procedures are essential.


Key Responsibilities


Purchasing & Procurement

• Process purchasing requisitions for MRO, indirect materials, services, and outsource/subcontract requirements.

• Convert approved requisitions into purchase orders in accordance with company purchasing procedures.

• Communicate with suppliers regarding quotations, order acknowledgments, delivery schedules, and order status updates.

• Review supplier pricing and seek clarification or escalation when pricing discrepancies arise.

• Maintain accurate and complete purchasing records within the ERP system.

• Ensure purchase order information, supplier data, pricing, and delivery commitments are updated and maintained accurately.


Supplier & Internal Communication

• Serve as a liaison between suppliers and internal requestors to ensure timely communication and issue resolution.

• Provide order confirmations, expected delivery dates, and status updates to internal stakeholders.

• Build and maintain professional working relationships with suppliers and service providers.


Outsource/Subcontract Coordination

• Coordinate the movement of materials leaving Baker for subcontracted operations and their return upon completion.

• Arrange and monitor pickups, deliveries, and transportation activities with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams.

• Track outsourced materials and communicate status updates to appropriate stakeholders.

• Assist in resolving delivery, scheduling, or transportation issues that may impact production or project timelines.


Inventory & Office Supply Management

• Maintain inventory levels of standard office supplies.

• Keep the office supply room stocked, orderly, and organized.

• Monitor usage trends and place replenishment orders as needed.


Compliance & Administrative Support

• Follow established purchasing policies, procedures, and approval requirements.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Supply Chain department.

• Assist with audits, reporting, and other administrative tasks as required.

• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.


Required Qualifications


Education & Experience

• Associate degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.

• Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, customer service, or administrative support is preferred.

• Experience using ERP systems is a plus.
