Description

Position Summary

Assists all departments with information processing needs utilizing technology and provides technical support to all departments as requested/assigned. Assists Network Security Administrator and I.T. Director in assuring that all computer networks, systems, and technical activities are fully operational and performing in accordance with company requirements.  


Essential Functions

  • Configure, deploy, and maintain Windows based computers in a networked environment.
  • Perform computer and network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose computer and network problems.
  • Assist Network Administrator and I.T. Director in implementing complex systems in a virtualized environment.
  • Upgrade hardware and software components as required.
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems resources and performance.
  • Provide users with computer, network, and application technical support.
  • Respond to the needs and questions of users concerning their access of resources.
  • Maintain computerized equipment in optimal operating condition.
  • Perform routine technical maintenance for all systems.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized computer Data Center environment.
  • Serve “on-call” for technical support 24x7 one week each month.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education

Two-year college degree with emphasis in computer studies or an accredited technical certification such as MCITP, Network+, A+, etc.


Experience

Two to four years computer experience in a networked environment with demonstrated competency in computer operations, support, and maintenance.

Experience in Casino Resort industry preferred.


Computer Skills

Thorough support level knowledge of Windows based networks.

Thorough knowledge of hardware/software applications and Microsoft products.


Certificates & Licenses

MCITP, Network+, A+, etc. preferred.

Ability to obtain a Siletz Tribal Gaming License.


Other Requirements

Ability to provide on-call technical support for systems that run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Ability to learn departmental operations for a thorough understanding of data processing requirements.

Work Environment

Work will take place in a busy gaming environment with multiple distractions, with frequent work in areas deemed “sensitive”. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The environment is subject to smoke and the associated affects.  


Working Conditions

Conditions of employment include passing a pre-employment drug screen, a background investigation, and completing a 180-day introductory period.
