Description
Louisiana Key Academy – Northshore is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Guest Teacher to join our team for December-Mid February.
This position will provide classroom instruction and support during a temporary teacher leave. The successful candidate will maintain a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment while continuing to support the academic and social-emotional needs of our students.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality instruction aligned with grade-level standards and school expectations
- Follow established lesson plans, curriculum, and classroom routines
- Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment
- Implement accommodations and instructional supports as needed
- Monitor student progress and communicate concerns with the appropriate staff
- Collaborate with school leadership and other members of the instructional team
- Maintain consistent classroom procedures and expectations
- Support the mission and specialized instructional model of Louisiana Key Academy
Qualifications:
- Louisiana teaching certification preferred
- Experience working with elementary/middle school students preferred
- Experience working with students with dyslexia or learning differences is a plus
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a school team
