We are currently seeking a qualified QA/QC Manager to join our team!
What will you do?
The QA/QC Manager is a site-based role responsible for owning, coordinating, tracking, and maintaining all quality documentation required for the Site Quality Check List (SQCL) process. The role manages quality records from initial inspection and field verification through completion, sign-off, compilation, and turnover of the final quality pack. Working closely with construction supervision, QA/QC, engineering, commissioning, and all site disciplines, the QA/QC Manager ensures documentation accurately reflects field progress and is complete, traceable, and ready for project handover.
Essential Duties
- Own and coordinate the project quality documentation process from initial inspection through final completion and turnover, including maintaining the live SharePoint folder as the current and accurate record of project quality documentation. Manage SQCL documentation from the initial inspection or work activity through final completion of the quality pack, always maintaining clear status and traceability.
- Prepare, maintain, and update SQCL trackers, inspection records, checklists, logs, sign-off sheets, punch items, and supporting documentation to accurately reflect current field status.
- Coordinate with mechanical, piping, electrical, I&C, civil, commissioning, and other project disciplines to support the preparation and timely completion of required quality documentation.
- Work directly with field supervision and discipline leads to identify upcoming inspections, documentation requirements, hold points, witness points, and outstanding quality records before they impact progress or turnover.
- Attend daily field coordination meetings and provide clear updates on SQCL status, documentation priorities, outstanding actions, constraints, and items requiring closure.
- Plan, coordinate, and attend site walkdowns with the relevant construction, quality, engineering, commissioning, client, and contractor representatives as required.
- Verify that completed field work is supported by the required quality documentation and that records are accurate, complete, legible, properly signed, and aligned with project requirements before closeout.
- Coordinate the closeout of incomplete or deficient documentation, including missing signatures, supporting records, inspection evidence, punch items, and other outstanding SQCL requirements.
- Compile completed documentation into structured, auditable quality packs for system, area, or project turnover and maintain control of revisions and final records.
- Maintain an organized document control process for quality records, including electronic filing and upload to the designated client or project document management system.
- Provide quality documentation support to all site disciplines and assist field teams in understanding the documentation required to complete and close their work packages.
- Escalate documentation gaps, recurring quality record issues, or risks to SQCL completion to the Onsite Manager and relevant discipline leads in a timely manner.
- Support inspections, verifications, and quality reviews in the field as required, with the primary focus on coordination, documentation, traceability, and completion of the SQCL process.
- Act with integrity in all work, reporting, and timekeeping.
- Follow all safety rules and promote AP4 safety policies
