SUPERVISOR-EVENT STAFF
Description

Position Information: 

With outstanding customer service, the Supervisor position is responsible for ensuring front-line staff remain on task while resolving any customer driven issues in a safe expeditious manner. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Organize and oversee the position assignment and work of front-line staff; ensures their work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that front-line staff members are informed about event requirements.
  • Provide site specific training and instruction to all front-line staff in the company’s policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Effectively conduct pre-shift briefing and ensure staff is apprised of relevant information prior to deployment.
  • Ensure that all traffic control devices are placed in accordance with the Traffic Control Plan.
  • Prepare daily reports and logs, documenting shift operations and any problems or complaints.
  • Effectively coach and discipline staff as needed.
  • Assist in the planning, monitoring, and coordination of vehicular and pedestrian traffic flow.
  • Resolve customer and employees’ requests, questions, and complaints with integrity and poise
  • Provide information on venue and company procedures and/or policies.
  • Oversee maintenance and availability of onsite inventory of issued equipment, e.g., stop sign paddles, light wands, radios, vests, etc.
  • Maintain radio and/or phone contact with Operations.
  • Receive and dispatch police, fire, or other emergency personnel when accidents or other emergencies arise.
  • May handle or assist with discipline of employees in accordance with company policy and procedure.  
  • Inspection of working area for safety and maintenance concerns while maintaining cleanliness.
  • Attend training classes as directed by management.
  • Any other duties as assigned.


Requirements

Education:

  • High school diploma, or the equivalent preferred. 
  • ATSSA Flagger Card: Nevada Flagger Card



Qualifications:

  • ATSSA Certified Flagger 
  • 1 (one) year supervisory experience. (Recommended)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Work cooperatively with others.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Able to read, write, and comprehend instructions and information in English.
  • Ability to use personal computer and hand-held applications. 
  • Ability to work flexible shifts/hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, at varying locations.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Must be able to multitask in a fast pace and high-volume environment. 
  • Attention to detail. 
  • Must present a professional, friendly image and appearance.
  • Must have reliable transportation and excellent attendance.


Physical Demands:

  • Finger and hand dexterity. 
  • Requires the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
  • May be exposed to extremes of hot or cold weather in addition to wet environments. 
  • Noise levels are distracting or uncomfortable.
  • Job requires the following motions: climbing, stooping, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, squatting, occasional lifting; up to 75 pounds, stretching, sitting, walking on uneven ground and stairs.  
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
