As a Security Associate, you’ll help maintain a safe shopping environment by monitoring store activity, preventing theft, responding to incidents, and supporting store operations in a fast-paced grocery store environment.

What You’ll Do

•  Monitor store premises and maintain a visible security presence
•  Help prevent theft, fraud, and loss through proactive observation and reporting
•  Respond to security incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations appropriately
•  Monitor surveillance systems and high-risk store areas
•  Conduct routine security audits and incident documentation
•  Assist customers with safety concerns, carry-outs, and general store assistance
•  Verify receipts and conduct bag checks when necessary according to store policies
•  Support internal investigations related to theft, fraud, or policy violations
•  Collaborate with store leadership on loss prevention and safety strategies
•  Train employees on security awareness and loss prevention best practices
•  Assist with cart retrieval and maintaining safe exterior areas when needed
•  Maintain accurate reports and follow company safety procedures at all times

What We’re Looking For

•  Previous security, loss prevention, retail, military, or law enforcement experience preferred
•  Basic knowledge of security procedures and loss prevention practices
•  Strong observational, communication, and problem-solving skills
•  Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations
•  Excellent customer service and conflict-resolution abilities
•  Ability to work independently and as part of a team
•  Strong attention to detail and incident documentation skills
•  Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to security concerns
•  Flexible availability (days, evenings, weekends, holidays)

Work Environment

•  Fast-paced grocery store environment including indoor and outdoor areas
•  Frequent interaction with customers, vendors, staff, and emergency responders
•  Exposure to potentially stressful or volatile situations
•  Standing and walking for extended periods; lifting up to 30 lbs
