FabMax in Wood Dale, IL, is seeking a hands-on Quality Manager to maintain and improve our Quality Management System (QMS). We are looking for someone who can translate quality requirements into clear procedures, effective training, and consistent daily practices.

What you’ll do:
• Maintain and improve the company’s Quality Management System.
• Keep quality procedures, work instructions, forms, and records accurate and current.
• Coordinate internal audits and follow findings through corrective action.
• Support customer and external audits, including preparation and follow-up.
• Partner with production, engineering, and leadership to address gaps in quality processes.
• Help establish clear quality expectations and reinforce consistent execution.
• Monitor quality performance and communicate priorities and improvement opportunities.
• Support employee training on QMS procedures and quality responsibilities.
• Verify that corrective actions are documented, implemented, and effective.
• Maintain an active presence in manufacturing operations to understand issues and support practical solutions.

 • Experience managing or maintaining a manufacturing Quality Management System.
• Experience in quality management, quality supervision, or a comparable leadership role.
• Working knowledge of document control, internal auditing, and corrective action.
• Ability to develop clear procedures and communicate expectations effectively.
• Strong problem-solving, organization, and follow-through.
• Ability to work collaboratively with production teams and company leadership.
• Experience preparing for and supporting customer or external audits.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality recordkeeping systems.
• Metal fabrication experience preferred.
