Senior Technical Product Manager
Fully Remote • Dallas,TX
Description

About the Role:

The Senior Technical Product Manager is responsible for owning the product direction of Crossroads, Gravitate’s platform that connects fuel retailers, carriers, and suppliers. This position owns product decisions across API design, data contracts, onboarding process improvements, and the reliability of data moving between systems. This is a hands-on, technical role that works side by side with engineering and architecture within a collaborative Agile environment, and builds strong relationships with customers, partners, and their technical teams at every level. The role contributes to Gravitate’s mission of giving decision-makers the power to make better supply and logistics assessments through a faster, smoother, weightless experience.

Why This Role Matters:

Gravitate's  strategic enterprise customers have complex delivery, integration, operational, reporting, acceptance, and stakeholder-management needs. The program requires strong governance around scope, release readiness, customer signoff, issue resolution, period-end activities, integration readiness, acceptance criteria, and business adoption.

At the same time, Gravitate is continuing to mature its delivery organization. This role will help establish the behaviors, artifacts, and standards expected from senior-level project leadership: clear plans, disciplined RAID management, credible dates, strong customer communication, action-item ownership, governance cadences, clean executive reporting, and repeatable project controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the Crossroads API and integration roadmap, defining how customers, carriers, and partners connect to the platform and ensuring every integration aligns with the overall product vision.
  • Translate roadmap features into well-defined requirements, including API specifications, data contracts, field mappings, error handling, and acceptance test criteria.
  • Work closely with engineering and architecture on system design, scalability, security, and technical debt tradeoffs, and make clear prioritization calls between them.
  • Serve as the technical product point of contact for customers and partners during integration projects, working directly with their IT and engineering teams.
  • Own API documentation, onboarding guides, and the overall experience for customers and partners building on Crossroads.
  • Define the metrics and monitoring that show integrations are healthy, and drive root-cause investigation when data doesn’t flow as expected.
  • Drive execution of the Crossroads strategy, turning market and customer needs into prioritized, actionable development work.
  • Ensure releases achieve intended outcomes and that integrations meet customer and partner needs in production.
  • Actively mitigate roadblocks, including third-party dependencies, that could affect release or sprint goals.
  • Lead technical and functional product demos for internal and external audiences, and create and maintain product documentation.

Required Experience:

  • 8+ years in the software industry, with 4+ years in Product Management or Platform Product Management. At least 2 years owning an API, integration, or platform product.
  • Proven success managing complex enterprise SaaS implementations.
  • Experience managing strategic customers with multiple stakeholders, workstreams, integrations, risks, and executive visibility.
  • Strong understanding of project management fundamentals, including scope, schedule, risks, dependencies, issues, decisions, change control, and acceptance criteria.
  • Ability to lead both customer-facing and internal governance meetings.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive status reporting.
  • Experience working with Product and Engineering teams to manage technical dependencies and release commitments.
  • Ability to operate with urgency, structure, and ownership in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong follow-up discipline and ability to hold cross-functional teams accountable without creating unnecessary friction.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience managing enterprise customers through stabilization, rollout, hypercare, and adoption phases.
  • Prior experience as a software engineer, solutions architect, integration engineer, or technical consultant is strongly preferred.
  • Exposure to or experience within the fuel, supply, and logistics industry is preferred.
  • Experience building partner or developer programs, including sandbox environments, certification, and integration onboarding, is preferred.
  • Experience using AI tools to accelerate product discovery, analysis, or requirements work is preferred.
