Cristo Rey Richmond High School is a Catholic learning community that educates young people of limited economic means to become men and women of faith, purpose, and service. What You’ll Do

As a Substitute Bus Operator, you’ll safely transport students on an as-needed basis while serving as a positive ambassador for our school community.

Responsibilities include:

• Safely transport students on assigned routes when called in
• Drive students to and from work study placements as needed
• Transport students to athletic events, field trips, and school activities as needed
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Maintain a safe, orderly, and respectful environment on the bus
• Follow all state and federal transportation regulations
• Communicate professionally with students, parents, faculty, and staff
• Report vehicle concerns promptly
• Complete required documentation and route records
• Support the mission and values of Cristo Rey Richmond High School

Qualifications

Required:

• Valid Virginia Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Passenger (P) and Air brake endorsements
• Clean driving record
• Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screening, criminal background check, and TB screening

Preferred:

• CPR/First Aid certification
• Experience working with adolescents
• Knowledge of the Richmond metropolitan area
