RLM Underground

RLM Underground is hiring an experienced Aerial Lineman to support ongoing telecom construction work across Kentucky. This is not a trainee role — we’re looking for someone who already knows the full soup-to-nuts aerial skillset and can work independently, safely, and efficiently in the field.

What You’ll Do

• Build, maintain, and repair aerial fiber and coax plant
• Perform pole transfers, strand work, lashing, and equipment installs
• Set anchors, down guys, and all supporting hardware
• Read and follow prints, permits, and customer specifications
• Operate bucket trucks and climb poles confidently
• Complete daily documentation, safety checks, and job reporting
• Work independently while coordinating with supervisors and ground crews

What You Need

• Solid experience as a telecom aerial lineman (no new grads or trainees)
• Full competency with climbing, rigging, lashing, and aerial construction
• Ability to work solo and make sound field decisions
• Strong understanding of safety standards and utility right-of-way rules
• Valid driver’s license; CDL a plus
• Willingness to travel to job sites across KY
