About the Company
Chan & Chan USA LLC is a growing food manufacturer producing high-quality frozen dumplings, buns, sausages, and other specialty products for our own brands and for leading retail and foodservice customers. Our team works in a modern, clean facility where safety, food safety, and quality come first.
Position Summary
The Shipping/Receiving Clerk makes sure everything coming in and going out of the warehouse is correct, documented, and food-safe. The role receives and checks inbound deliveries, prepares and verifies outbound shipments, records every transaction in Sage X3, and keeps the shipping and receiving records that support traceability and audits. Success is measured by accurate receipts and shipments, on-time loads, complete records, and inventory accuracy.
Essential Functions
- Receive inbound deliveries: check products against purchase orders and bills of lading, inspect for damage, verify temperatures and lot codes, and complete FSQA receiving checks.
- Record receipts and shipments in Sage X3 the same day, and report shortages, overages, and damage to the Warehouse Supervisor and Supply Chain.
- Prepare bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping documents, and schedule carrier pickups and delivery appointments with Logistics.
- Verify outbound loads against orders: product, quantity, lot codes, and dates; inspect trailers for cleanliness, condition, and pre-cooling; and seal trailers.
- Keep product on FSQA hold separated and never ship or use held product.
- Maintain receiving, shipping, temperature, and trailer inspection records, and pull them for traceability exercises, recalls, and USDA, FDA, and customer audits.
- Support cycle counts and inventory adjustments with the Inventory Analyst.
- Process returns and carrier damage claims.
- Communicate with carriers, drivers, Logistics, Supply Chain, and production to keep receipts and shipments on schedule.
- Provide administrative support: data entry, recurring reports, and other tasks in Sage X3 and Excel.

The company operates under dual USDA (FSIS) and FDA jurisdiction.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), hygiene, allergen, and foreign-material controls; report food safety, quality, or safety concerns to a supervisor or FSQA immediately; and complete all required food safety and safety training.
- Reject or hold any delivery that is out of temperature, damaged, mislabeled, or shows signs of pests, and notify FSQA right away.
- Keep lot codes accurate on every receipt and shipment so product can be traced one step back and one step forward.
