About Nevada Pic A Part

Nevada Pic A Part is more than just a salvage yard – it’s a dynamic automotive recycling facility where automotive enthusiasts, DIY mechanics, and car lovers come together to find quality used parts at unbeatable prices. With thousands of vehicles in stock and a constantly rotating inventory, every day offers something new and exciting, whether it’s hunting for an essential auto part or bringing a project car to life. We strive to be safe, clean, and helpful while providing excellent customer service, so come visit us today!

The Builder Program offers customers complete used vehicles directly from Nevada Pic A Part — cars we sell whole instead of parting out. The best Builders start with the right buy.

Role Summary

The Builder Car Buyer finds, evaluates, and buys vehicles to keep our yards stocked, and is the Car Buying team's point person for the Builder Program. Most of the work happens on the phone: answering sellers quickly, following up on online leads, and making outbound calls. Every offer balances parts demand, vehicle condition, and cost, so what we add is useful to customers and profitable for the company. On each purchase call you'll also spot vehicles that could sell whole as Builders and flag them for the Builder team to confirm. You'll work closely with the Car Buying Lead, who coaches to the numbers, and with Dispatch on pickups. Success looks like a steady lead pipeline, your monthly buy number met, and likely Builders caught at the buy: "This one's worth more whole. I'm flagging it."

This is a full-time, on-site, hourly role at our North Las Vegas (Lamb) yard, scheduled for forty hours a week during the team's posted phone hours. Sellers expect a fast answer, so being present and ready while the phones are open is a core part of the job. Overtime isn't approved as a matter of course; when it's genuinely needed, the Car Buying Manager approves it in advance.
