We're recruiting experienced Certified Nursing Assistants for nine travel correctional healthcare opportunities in Somerset, Pennsylvania.

YOUR TRAVEL ASSIGNMENT

Gross Weekly Pay: $1,115
Taxable W-2 Hourly Pay: $11.00
Weekly Travel Stipend: $675, subject to eligibility
Contract Duration: 26 weeks
Weekly Hours: 40 guaranteed, subject to requisition confirmation
Shift Length: 8 hours
Schedule: Float assignment
Openings: 9
Extension Opportunities: May be available

YOUR SHIFT

This is an 8-hour float assignment. CNAs may work up to two different shifts within a two-week period.

Weekends: Every other weekend off.
Holidays: Must be available to work major holidays as assigned.

Flexibility is essential for this assignment. Candidates must be comfortable with varying shift assignments and working within a secure correctional healthcare environment.

ABOUT THE ASSIGNMENT

This Commonwealth of Pennsylvania opportunity is based in a secure correctional healthcare environment.

Certified Nursing Assistants provide essential hands-on patient care while supporting licensed nursing professionals and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

You'll assist individuals with daily living activities, personal hygiene, mobility, and other routine care needs while maintaining patient dignity, safety, and comfort.

Correctional healthcare requires CNAs who can remain professional, adaptable, and focused while providing respectful care within a secure environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Provide direct patient care under the direction of licensed nursing professionals.
• Assist patients with bathing, showers, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Provide incontinence care, toileting assistance, and other activities of daily living.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation.
• Obtain and document vital signs as assigned and within authorized responsibilities.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition or behavior to nursing staff.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and nutritional support as directed.
• Support patient comfort, safety, and infection prevention practices.
• Maintain accurate patient care documentation.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members.
• Follow established clinical, safety, security, and facility procedures.
• Provide professional and compassionate care while maintaining patient dignity.

TRAVEL ELIGIBILITY

This opportunity offers a travel compensation package. Your permanent tax-home address must be more than 50 miles from the assignment facility to meet Heartline's travel-distance policy. Tax-free stipend eligibility is subject to applicable IRS requirements.

• Current, valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
• Ability to work independently while following established nursing direction and safety protocols.
• Strong communication skills and professional conduct.
• Ability to provide direct hands-on patient care, including bathing, toileting, incontinence care, and activities of daily living.
• Ability to work onsite in Somerset, Pennsylvania.
• Availability for 8-hour float shifts.
• Willingness to work up to two different shifts within a two-week period.
• Availability to work major holidays as assigned.
• Ability to follow correctional facility security procedures and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Ability to meet applicable Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and correctional facility requirements prior to placement.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous correctional healthcare experience.
• Previous long-term care, rehabilitation, or other direct patient care experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience working flexible schedules or float assignments.
• Experience assisting patients with complex care needs or limited mobility.
• Familiarity with the healthcare needs of incarcerated populations.

TRAVEL COMPENSATION ELIGIBILITY

Travel stipend eligibility depends on the consultant's permanent tax home and applicable IRS requirements.

Certification, experience, and required credentials will be verified prior to submission.
