Lead fundraising that creates greater opportunity.
Magnify of Central Florida seeks a Director of Development and Marketing to grow philanthropic support and lead
communications that advance opportunity for people with disabilities. This fundraising-first role combines meaningful
donor relationships, personal solicitation, strategy, and team leadership.
Report to the Executive Director and help build a department designed to include a Manager of Marketing and
Communications and a Development Operations Coordinator. Lead the fundraising and the team, with production,
administration, and event coordination delegated to complementary roles.
The opportunity
? Personally cultivate, solicit, renew, and steward donors; partner with the Executive Director and volunteer leaders
on significant relationships and asks.
? Lead annual, recurring, major, corporate, parish, and legacy giving through a clear fundraising plan, budget, and
forecast.
? Develop funder relationships, grants, and cases for support with Finance and program input; advance approved
campaign readiness.
? Coach both direct reports, strengthen stewardship and reporting, and use Salesforce and donor insights to guide
decisions.
? Guide organization-wide messaging and empower the Marketing Manager to deliver campaigns, content, and
communications.
Harvest Ball: lead the fundraising and the results
Own Harvest Ball’s financial goals, sponsorship strategy, donor experience, and post-event cultivation. The Coordinator
maintains the operational plan and logistics; the Marketing Manager leads creative and promotion; Finance handles
independent reconciliation. You ensure clear assignments, a qualified day-of lead, and adequate coverage.
What you will bring
? Ten or more years of related nonprofit development experience, including fundraising leadership and staff
supervision.
? Personal donor cultivation and solicitation results across major and recurring gifts, sponsorships, and event
fundraising.
? Strong planning, budgeting, forecasting, writing, presentation, collaboration, and delegation skills.
? A bachelor’s degree or a relevant combination of education and experience. A master’s degree, fundraising
certifications, and Salesforce or comparable donor-system experience are preferred. Disability-services experience is a plus.
