Senior Sales Account Manager
Description

1.0 ABOUT JG DRYWALL CO. INC.

JG Drywall Co. Inc. is a Carnegie, Pennsylvania specialty contractor serving tract home builders, general contractors, and commercial property owners across the Pittsburgh region. We self-perform our work through three divisions: drywall, insulation, and ClosetPRO closet and storage systems. Our crews are our own, and the quality of what we install is the reason builders keep us on their jobs.

2.0 THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a Senior Sales Account Manager to own our largest customer relationships. This is not a cold-calling job. You will take responsibility for established, high-volume builder and commercial accounts and for the revenue they produce across all three of our product lines.

The work splits about evenly between selling and estimating. You will negotiate yearly agreements, price the work from prints and field measurements, and then stay with the account through production: tracking stock orders, managing change orders, resolving purchase order discrepancies, and protecting the margin that was quoted. You will report to the Chief Sales Officer and have authority to commit the company up to five thousand dollars without further approval.

Requirements

3.0 WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Own the relationship with assigned tract home builders, general contractors, and commercial property clients.

• Prepare estimates from prints, specifications, and field measurements across drywall, insulation, and closet systems.

• Build and negotiate yearly agreements, including unit pricing, square-foot rates, and escalation terms.

• Track builder stock orders and check purchase orders against our internal tracker every week.

• Manage variation purchase orders and change orders, and make sure completed work is authorized and billed.

• Watch margin on every account and prepare price increases when material and labor costs move.

• Manage an assigned group of subcontractors and process their square-foot pay.

• Order drywall material by job and meet regularly with supplier representatives.

• Manage requests for proposal through to award, and represent the company at builder events and trade shows.

• Support field superintendents on assigned accounts when a job needs attention.

4.0 WHAT YOU BRING

• Five to ten years in business-to-business sales, estimating, or account management in construction, building materials, or a specialty trade.

• A bachelor’s degree in construction management, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Proven ability to estimate from prints and to price annual or volume agreements.

• Experience with high-volume builder or general contractor accounts, including change order and purchase order administration.

• Comfort walking active job sites and a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

• Preferred: direct experience in drywall, insulation, or closet and storage systems, and with subcontractors paid on a unit basis.
