Are you a hospitality professional with a passion for luxury guest experiences, team leadership, and waterfront operations? We are seeking an experienced Recreation Manager to oversee all aspects of our Pool and Beach Operations, while creating memorable experiences for our members and guests.  

The Recreation Manager is responsible the managing the daily operations, of the Pool and Beach areas, mentoring and developing team members, maintaining a high standard of service for members and guests, managing LaPlaya's beach and pool equipment all while ensuring proper safety protocols are in place. 

• Oversee the daily operations of the pool and beach facilities.
• Lead, mentor, train, and develop pool and beach team members.
• Ensure exceptional service standards are consistently delivered to members and guests.
• Manage scheduling, staffing, and operational efficiencies.
• Maintain all pool and beach equipment, furnishings, and recreational assets.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and sanitation regulations.
• Monitor the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of the pool and beach areas.
• Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with other resort departments on pool and beach events for group business
• Support the planning and execution of resort activities, events, and recreational programming.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related hospitality experience, preferably in a resort environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and financial management skills.
• Knowledge of POS systems, inventory controls, and labor management.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to work extended hours during peak business periods.
