Are you an experienced affordable housing professional who knows how to lease, understands compliance, and is ready to hit the ground running? We want to meet you!
Celtic Property Management, LLC is seeking a motivated, energetic, and results-driven Assistant Property Manager to join our team at Vineyard Estates.
This is not an entry-level position! We're looking for someone who understands the fast-paced world of affordable housing, takes ownership of their responsibilities, and can balance leasing goals, resident relations, rent collections, and compliance requirements with confidence.
Vineyard Estates is a mixed-income community consisting of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), HUD, Project Rental Assistance (PRA), and market-rate units. Experience with both Tax Credit and HUD programs is an absolute must.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lease, lease, lease! Conduct engaging property tours, follow up with prospects, process applications, and help maintain strong occupancy.
- Coordinate move-ins, move-outs, lease renewals, and resident communications.
- Prepare, review, and maintain accurate LIHTC and HUD compliance files, including income certifications and recertifications.
- Assist with rent collections, delinquency follow-ups, deposits, and required notices.
- Support PRA program requirements and documentation.
- Maintain organized, accurate, and audit-ready resident files.
- Assist with property inspections, maintenance coordination, and resident concerns.
- Support the Property Manager with daily operations, reporting, financial processes, and occupancy goals.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining compliance with Fair Housing and company policies.
What We're Looking For
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Hands-on experience with LIHTC / Tax Credit AND HUD affordable housing programs. Both are required.

- Working knowledge of income certifications, annual recertifications, eligibility verification, and compliance documentation.
- Strong leasing skills, including property tours, prospect follow-up, applications, and move-ins.
- Experience with rent collections, resident relations, and property management operations.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and contribute immediately.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Tax Credit certification or ability to obtain certification within the required timeframe.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS THAT WILL SET YOU APART
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a huge plus, but not required.
