FOOD SERVICE WORKER 1 - SPRING CITY, PA

Heartline Staffing is seeking two dependable Food Service Workers for a local contract opportunity at a healthcare facility in Spring City, Pennsylvania.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Food Service Worker 1, you will assist with preparing, assembling, and delivering meals while maintaining clean and sanitary food service areas.

Your work will support daily nutritional services for patients and residents and help ensure that dietary operations run safely and efficiently.

This position involves food preparation, meal tray assembly, sanitation, food storage, and transporting meals and supplies throughout the facility.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Store food items and supplies in designated refrigerators, freezers, and storage areas.
• Prepare food portions and assemble items needed for meal trays and snacks.
• Set up tray lines and place food on trays according to menus and resident dietary tags.
• Assist with preparing sandwiches, salads, desserts, beverages, and other food items.
• Wash, peel, slice, dice, and prepare vegetables and other ingredients as assigned.
• Assist with heating, steaming, grilling, and preparing simple foods as directed.
• Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, equipment, carts, and work surfaces.
• Dispose of trash, garbage, and soiled linens in designated receptacles.
• Transport food, meal trays, nourishments, carts, and supplies between service areas.
• Assist with receiving, unloading, and storing food deliveries and supplies.
• Follow established food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen and dining environment.
• Interact professionally and respectfully with patients, residents, and healthcare team members.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for reliable, hardworking individuals who understand the importance of teamwork, food safety, and providing respectful service in a healthcare environment.

Previous food service experience is preferred but not required. Experience in healthcare dietary services, nursing homes, hospitals, assisted living facilities, cafeterias, restaurants, or other commercial food service settings is valuable.

COMPENSATION

$20.00 per Hour - Local W-2 Contract

This opportunity is available to local candidates who can reliably commute to the Spring City, Pennsylvania area.

No travel stipend is included in the advertised compensation.

• Experience in a hospital, nursing home, assisted living facility, or long-term care setting.
• Experience in a restaurant, cafeteria, school lunch program, or commercial kitchen.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Experience washing, peeling, slicing, dicing, and preparing food ingredients.
• Experience operating commercial kitchen equipment, including food processors, mixers, and choppers.
• Experience preparing sandwiches, salads, desserts, beverages, and other simple foods.
• Experience reading meal tray tickets, menus, or dietary tags.
• Experience assembling and distributing meal trays.
• Experience cleaning and sanitizing dishes, utensils, equipment, and food preparation surfaces.
• Experience receiving, unloading, storing, and transporting food and dietary supplies.
• Experience interacting with patients, residents, or customers during food service.
