You’ll help maintain accurate financial records, prepare reconciliations and journal entries, and support timely month-end and year-end close across multiple entities, clinic locations, properties, and projects.

If you enjoy working through details, taking ownership of deadlines, and collaborating to resolve discrepancies, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

General Accounting and Financial Reporting

  • Prepare journal entries for accruals, prepaid expenses, depreciation, and other adjustments with appropriate documentation and approvals.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts; investigate discrepancies and resolve or escalate outstanding items.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
  • Maintain schedules for fixed assets, liabilities, prepaid expenses, and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Record and reconcile intercompany transactions and help allocate shared expenses across entities and locations.
  • Assist with financial statements, budget-to-actual comparisons, cash flow schedules, and variance explanations.
  • Support accounts payable and receivable, including invoice coding, vendor reconciliations, expense review, and payment tracking.

Healthcare Accounting

  • Reconcile practice deposits and merchant settlements to bank activity and billing reports, partnering with billing staff to research differences.
  • Support the recording of practice revenue, refunds, payroll, benefits, and operating expenses.
  • Maintain location-level accounting detail and assist with clinic financial reporting.

Real Estate and Project Accounting

  • Support accounting for assigned properties and entities, including rent receipts, operating expenses, property taxes, insurance, and loan activity.
  • Track construction, improvement, and other capital expenditures by property and project.
  • Assist with tenant reconciliations, security deposit tracking, and operating expense reconciliations.
  • Prepare supporting schedules for property reporting, lender requests, and draw packages.

Accounting Operations and Controls

  • Maintain organized records and prepare documentation for external accountants, tax preparation, audits, and other reviews.
  • Assist with vendor records, W-9 collection, and 1099 preparation.
  • Follow established financial controls, flag unusual transactions, and protect confidential information.
  • Help document procedures, improve accounting workflows, and support special projects.

What You’ll Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and accounting experience.
  • At least two years of accounting experience, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close support.
  • Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), documentation standards, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and lookup formulas, and experience with accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and organization, with the ability to manage deadlines across multiple entities.
  • Clear communication, sound judgment, and discretion with confidential information.
  • The ability to work independently and seek guidance on unfamiliar or complex issues.

Preferred Experience

  • Accounting in healthcare, real estate, property management, construction, or another organization with multiple entities or locations.
  • Intercompany reconciliations, fixed assets, property accounting, or project cost tracking.
  • Financial reporting, external accountant support, and accounting process improvements.
