Job Title: Strategy, Execution, and Technology Consultant
Job Type: Full-time (W-2, 1099, or subcontractor)
Position Summary
The Strategy, Execution, and Technology Consultant supports A-G SET by helping clients move from priorities and plans to disciplined execution, measurable performance, and sustained adoption. This role applies the FOCUS Method—Frame, Organize, Create, Unite, and Sustain—to understand client needs, structure implementation, engage stakeholders, and build practical management and technology-enabled solutions. The ideal candidate combines consulting judgment, implementation discipline, data fluency, change leadership, and the ability to translate operational needs into useful tools and decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy and Implementation
- Lead defined workstreams that connect organizational strategy to implementation plans, governance, milestones, owners, measures, and decision points.
- Apply the FOCUS Method to frame objectives and current-state conditions; organize stakeholders, resources, risks, and work; create practical solutions; unite teams around execution; and sustain results through measurement and reinforcement.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, document reviews, process mapping, readiness assessments, and working sessions to clarify challenges and identify actionable improvements.
Technology and Performance Enablement
- Translate operational needs into roadmaps, operating models, dashboards, playbooks, decision tools, workflows, and performance-management routines.
- Help design practical technology solutions, including dashboards, workflow automation, knowledge-management tools, AI-enabled processes, and system integrations, in partnership with technical specialists.
- Define measures, data requirements, thresholds, and reporting approaches that give leaders visibility into project health, risks, commitments, outcomes, and required decisions.
Stakeholder Engagement and Adoption
- Facilitate strategy, implementation, requirements, design, and performance-review sessions with staff, managers, executives, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Support organizational change, communications, workforce development, training, and adoption activities needed to implement and sustain new processes or tools.
- Develop executive-ready materials that connect operational evidence to a clear decision, accountable owner, deadline, and consequence.
Delivery and Quality Management
- Develop concise, polished deliverables and maintain disciplined scope, schedule, level-of-effort, risk, action, and quality controls.
- Work as part of one integrated A-G team using common work plans, quality standards, and collective accountability across strategy, delivery, analytics, and technology contributors.
- Ensure technology recommendations are grounded in validated client needs rather than technology for its own sake.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, organizational development, information systems, data analytics, industrial or organizational psychology, adult education, or a closely related professional field.
- At least seven years of relevant professional experience in strategy execution, program implementation, organizational improvement, change management, performance management, business analysis, or technology-enabled transformation.
- Demonstrated experience leading defined workstreams and converting findings into practical recommendations, implementation plans, and client-ready deliverables.
- Ability to gather and synthesize requirements, facilitate working sessions, and analyze qualitative and quantitative information.
- Experience working effectively with senior leaders, managers, technical personnel, and frontline staff.
- Strong writing, presentation, facilitation, project coordination, problem-solving, and client-service skills.
- Ability to work within the United States and meet applicable client suitability, background, or access requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting federal agencies, government contractors, nonprofits, or other complex, mission-driven organizations.
- Experience with dashboards, data visualization, performance analytics, workflow design, low-code automation, AI-enabled business processes, or technology requirements development.
- Familiarity with project management, change management, human-centered design, process improvement, organizational development, or adult-learning methods.
- Experience working across fixed-price and time-and-materials environments, including milestones, levels of effort, risks, dependencies, and financial performance.
- Relevant certification such as PMP, Prosci, Lean Six Sigma, Agile, business analysis, data analytics, or a comparable credential.
Key Competencies
- Strategic thinking grounded in practical execution.
- Business analysis, data interpretation, and requirements synthesis.
- Client facilitation, change leadership, and stakeholder engagement.
- Technology fluency and responsible use of data and AI.
- Strong organization, quality control, and accountability for results.
Compensation: The anticipated annual compensation is $90,00 – 150,000 per year. Compensation arrangements will be determined by experience, skills, assignment requirements, and geographic location.
