About CG Financial Services
CG Financial Services is a registered investment adviser and insurance firm with more than $4 billion in assets under management. We operate three divisions. Wealth Management works directly with individuals, families and businesses on investment management and financial planning. CG Advisor Network (CGAN) is our advisor network division. Insurance is our third division.
Each division serves a different audience, from clients and prospects to centers of influence and the advisors in our network. Marketing has to work for all of them.
Our Core Values
Our core values shape how we work with clients, advisors and each other. We look for people who share them.
- Thirst for Knowledge: We stay curious and keep learning, about our clients, our industry and our craft.
- Innovative Problem Solver: We look for better ways to get things done and bring solutions, not just problems.
- Self-Motivated: We take ownership and move work forward without waiting to be asked.
- Authentic: We are honest, genuine and consistent in how we show up for people.
- Positively Impact People: We leave clients, colleagues and our communities better off.
About the Role
We're looking for a Marketing Programs Manager to own our client and COI event strategy from the ground up, run the digital marketing that supports all three divisions, and direct the outside partners who help us fill our seminars.
This is a hands-on, high-visibility role for someone who's as comfortable working a room at a client appreciation event as they are running an email campaign. You'll do the work yourself and manage our vendors to get the best results from them. You'll be the person clients and advisors see representing the firm, not someone working behind the scenes.
It's a small team with broad scope. Requests come from three divisions and a busy group of advisors. You'll be expected to make well-reasoned decisions on your own, back them up with facts, and bring clear recommendations to leadership, including what should come first and why.
What You'll Do
Events & Client Experience (the core of this role)
- Own the strategy, calendar, and execution of client appreciation events, educational seminars, and COI-facing events across all three divisions
- Plan each event around a clear goal, such as referrals, deeper client relationships, or qualified prospects, and shape the format, guest list, and follow-up to match
- Represent the firm in person at events, building comfort and credibility with clients, prospects, and centers of influence
- Partner with advisors and division leaders to understand what each audience actually responds to, rather than running one-size-fits-all programming
Vendor & Partner Management
- Direct our seminar marketing firms, who are critical to filling seminar rooms with qualified, targeted prospects. Set clear expectations and review their performance on a regular schedule
- Work with them on targeting and list strategy, and hold them accountable for attendance and prospect quality
- Coordinate other agency and platform partners as needed, keeping everyone working toward the same calendar and priorities
Digital Marketing
- Manage day-to-day execution of our marketing automation platform, Snappy Kraken, including campaign builds, email sequences, and content distribution
- Maintain and improve our website and digital presence across divisions
- Keep client and prospect data clean in Wealthbox CRM so campaigns and BD efforts aren't working off bad lists, and ensure Wealthbox and Snappy Kraken stay in sync
- Track campaign and event results, and use them to decide where to invest next. You don't need to be a data scientist, but you should be able to read a dashboard and act on it
Planning & Cross-Division Coordination
- Serve as the connective tissue across Wealth Management, CGAN, and Insurance marketing needs
- Build and keep up a marketing and event calendar, with a simple intake process so requests from advisors and division leaders are weighed against priorities, capacity, and budget
- Create templates and repeatable processes so quality programming doesn't depend on reinventing the wheel for each division
- Keep leadership informed on results and progress, and bring them clear, fact-based recommendations on where to invest time and budget
- Work with our compliance team so marketing materials are reviewed and approved on schedule
- Work closely with subject matter experts in each division to get content and positioning right. You don't need to be a wealth management or insurance expert on day one, but you need to be good at drawing out what you need from people who are
What We're Looking For
- 3-6 years of marketing experience, ideally with meaningful event planning and execution responsibility
- A genuine people-person, comfortable in front of clients and prospects, not just behind a screen
- Experience managing outside vendors or agencies and holding them accountable to results, not just internal coordination
- A track record of balancing requests from multiple stakeholders and audiences at once
- Hands-on experience with a marketing automation platform (Snappy Kraken experience a strong plus; comparable platforms like HubSpot, Constant Contact, or similar also considered). Comfort running campaigns end-to-end, not deep technical expertise
- Experience with a CRM (Wealthbox experience a plus, but not required), and comfort keeping client and prospect data organized and usable
- Experience in financial services, insurance, or professional services marketing is a strong plus, as is familiarity with compliance review of marketing materials. Strong transferable event and marketing experience also counts
- Clear writing and communication skills, and the ability to turn input from subject matter experts into effective marketing
- Sound judgment and independence. You make well-reasoned, fact-based decisions without waiting to be told what to do, and you can explain your thinking and defend your recommendations to senior leaders
- Organized enough to own a full calendar and follow through without close oversight
What Success Looks Like in the First Year
- A running, division-aware event calendar that advisors and producers trust and want to be part of
- Client appreciation events that clients look forward to and that produce measurable referral and relationship value
- Seminar vendor relationships built on clear expectations and regular performance reviews, with better attendance and prospect quality
- A simple intake and prioritization process that makes it clear what gets done, when, and why
- Leadership hears from you regularly with clear, fact-based recommendations, and trusts your judgment on day-to-day decisions
- A proactive, well-organized digital marketing cadence (campaigns, website, basic reporting) run on a consistent, planned schedule
